(Clearwisdom.net) Note from editor: A doctor from China who recently returned to the communist nation was shocked to learn how his relative, a Falun Gong practitioner, was persecuted and the related cover-ups. When he came back overseas, the indignant doctor contacted the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) immediately and called for the rescue of his relative under persecution and of all the Falun Gong practitioners who are being held illegally by authorities. His letter follows.
To The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG):
Dear friends, please hurry to save my relative and my compatriots!!!
My relative, Li Zhonglan, 44, is a female Falun Gong practitioner. In 2006, she was arrested by the 610 Office of Chongqing City. She was later sentenced to four years in prison and is now serving time at Block V, Yongchuan Women's Prison of Choingqing City, which is located at Yueqin Village, Honglu Town, Yongchuan District, Chongqing City (Post Code: 402164) After Li was taken into custody, the officials from the "610 Office" insulted and tortured her in various ways. Her teeth were knocked out, her chin was fractured, and she was not given any treatment! Her chin healed, but is no longer in its original shape. Now she finds it hard to open her mouth and eat, so she can only drink liquids. She is now mentally unstable, physically weak, and holding on with her last breath. Many more Falun Gong practitioners whose names are unknown are being held there too. Please hurry up and save them!
Before her arrest, Li Zhonglan had been a manager of a company in Chongqing City. She had a reputation for treating her family, relatives, friends, and staff well. She is now devastated by a bunch of hoodlums who have no other use but to harm the state and people. That is really sad!
I am making the following suggestions:
First, every effort should be made to immediately collect and file the names and addresses of all Falun Gong practitioners in China who are being held by authorities, and CIPFG should send a note to the Chinese government and the prisons, labor camps, education-through-labor facilities that are holding them, demanding a release of all held Falun Gong practitioners by August 8, 2007. This way the authorities will not dare to continue with their persecution or transfer them. Publicity is important; if the persecution continues to be kept under cover, the authorities may relocate the practitioners and kill them to wipe out evidence.
Secondly, three conditions must be met satisfactorily; otherwise the drive to resist the Beijing Olympic Games will start on August 8, 2007. Also, the Global Relay of Human Rights Torch's theme, "Crimes against humanity and the Olympic Games should not be allowed to exist concurrently in China," will be widely and energetically promoted. The Chinese communist regime should be given a definite timetable to stop its persecution.
Hurry up! Time means life!
