(Clearwisdom.net) On May 19, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Brusperku to raise awareness about Falun Gong, a cultivation practice of mind and body. They also exposed the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government, which illegally banned the practice in 1999.
Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on the square and also displayed banners with information about the practice of Falun Gong and the violence perpetrated against practitioners by the Chinese regime. They handed out leaflets and talked to passersby. Some practitioners dropped leaflets through letter boxes to clarify the facts to more people and to let them know the truth about the evil Communist Party.
Many people came to sign the petition and denounced the cruel and inhumane practices of communism, which have no place in any advanced society in the world.
Not only adults, but also children came to the table to sign the petition.
They carefully read the information on the banners and were interested in every
detail. A group of boys aged from ten to thirteen years discussed the
information they read with practitioners. After they read and signed the
petition, it was possible to read from their faces their joy and innocent
enthusiasm for doing such a very good thing. When they said goodbye, one of them
said, "This takes my breath away. The persecution should be banned."
One man, who came to sign the petition, expressed his interest to learn more
about Falun Dafa cultivation practice and asked whether the practitioners would
be willing to teach it to more people and explain it to him. The practitioners
told him where and when they exercised in Ostrava and said that they would be
very happy to teach all those who were interested everything they needed to
know.
A young couple from Ostrava, who were touring on bicycles, showed a keen
interest in learning the exercises. They received information, signed the
petition and said goodbye with a smile.
