Stevenson, a famous talk show host in Australia, said that he is not a Falun Gong practitioner, but he knows very well about the persecution. He praised practitioners' peaceful efforts to expose and end the persecution. He pointed out that there is no difference between the CCP and the Nazis and that the 2008 Olympic Games should not be held by the CCP regime. He called upon Australians to help stop the persecution.
Practitioner Ms. Zeng Zheng pointed out that the CCP claimed it would eliminate Falun Gong within three months, but eight years have passed and Falun Gong practitioners haven't given in. Instead Falun Gong has spread to more than 80 countries throughout the world. She said that more and more people support Falun Gong and recognize the evil nature of the CCP.
Many citizens were attracted to the rally and the performance. Some signed their names to support Falun Gong practitioners. One Australian lady said that the CCP is even worse than Hitler's regime. She said that she hopes the CCP will crash down soon. After signing to support practitioners, a French tourist said that after she learned the facts of the persecution, she felt that she had to do something to help.
At dusk, practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of City Hall in memory of those who have been persecuted to death.
