(Clearwisdom.net) Several hundred Falun Dafa practitioners, mostly from Taiwan, were denied entry to Hong Kong in the days leading up to July 1, the tenth anniversary of the handover from the British to China. I had been in Hong Kong for about half a month at the time. I was not clear about what had happened at the time. After I returned to Taiwan and read fellow practitioner's experience sharing articles, I started to learn about the cultivation status that practitioners in Taiwan had experienced.
This reminded me of the experience that I had three years ago when I also tried to enter Hong Kong. I remembered that for some unknown reason, I had the attachment of fear the day before I left for Hong Kong. After studying the Fa and reading fellow practitioner's sharing articles, I enlightened to myself that I should not let the people working in Hong Kong customs do anything that persecutes Dafa disciples, as this would do harm to them. I realized that I must compassionately eliminate all the evil elements behind the staff working at Hong Kong custom and prevent them from committing such a crime. As soon as the compassion emerged, I straight away felt strong righteous thoughts, and my fear disappeared.
Next day, I arrived in Hong Kong. I kept sending righteous thoughts. Standing in line at customs, it seemed that the customs officers were checking people thoroughly. It took quite some time before the customs official let the person in front of me pass through. While I was waiting, I kept sending righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements behind him. I also added another thought: he is not going to see anything he should not see. When it was my turn, he quickly stamped my document and let me pass. The whole process was even faster than usual.
Four other practitioners on the same flight were deported back to Taiwan. On the surface, it was because almost all were assistants and were well known by other people. But I knew that was not the real cause. Before we got on the plane, they had told others to contact the media if their entry was not successful. They also said that we should not worry too much about whether or not we pass through customs or not. Although I had been in and out Hong Kong a few times, I was still a new practitioner. I was not sure of their understanding of the Fa. At the same time, out of selfishness and considerations of saving face, I was too worried to share my thoughts with them. My current understanding is: Imagining failure is accepting the old force arrangements. What we are doing is the most righteous thing in this cosmos, we should not have such human notions of "must be persecuted if we do". On the other hand, evil forces try to stop us from entering Hong Kong. If we think that it is important whether or not we can enter Hong Kong or not, but we ourselves do not have determination, then the evil forces have an excuse to not let us enter.
Three years ago I enlightened to send righteous thoughts out of compassion, but this time, when practitioners were deported, I forgot to do that. I found my starting point of sending righteous thoughts was not correct. It was merely for fellow practitioner to pass through customs, not for compassionately saving sentient beings. My first priority was for practitioners to pass customs instead of for them to validate the Fa and save sentient beings.
One practitioner shared well in his article, "In rescuing fellow practitioners, we should not be moved by the result on the surface. Our starting point and the whole process of rescuing should be focused on eliminating evil, saving sentient beings and being responsible for the righteous elements in this cosmos." My understanding is whether we are sending righteous thoughts, clarifying the truth, or holding a banner at the airport, we must place our starting point correctly, that is, to eliminate the evil elements behind the customs personnel, police and other relevant staff, stopping them from doing the wrong thing, truly wanting to save them from the heart. If our thoughts are pure and compassionate, our fellow practitioners in the airport would also be moved and be compassionate and pure. They whole energy field there would be peaceful and compassionate, and the result naturally would be good.
