(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. Li Xiuying from Tonghua County, Jilin Province, is 54 years old. For eight years, agents from the Public Security Bureau, the local police station, and Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun have continued to persecute her. She was arrested many times, illegally detained, and sent to forced labor camps and to a brainwashing center. Ms. Li was tortured until she had symptoms of a severe heart condition. They sent her to the hospital, where she was tied to a bed every day.
Ms. Li Xiuying used to work in the B-ultrasound room at Tonghua Infectious Disease Hospital and lived on Tuanjie Street, Tonghua City. On the morning of September 28, 1999, she was detained at the police station and that night she was transported to Changliu Detention Center for 15 days.
In February 2001, the local Communist Party in Tonghua City wanted Ms. Li to attend brainwashing sessions. She managed to escape but was forced into homelessness.
In the summer of 2001, Li Xiuying's work unit told her husband that she needed to go back to work or she would lose her position. Her husband believe what he was told, and told the Party secretary at her work unit that ms. Li was visiting relatives with her daughter in Beijing and would be back on August 27. As a result, Ms. Li and her daughter were intercepted at the train station by several plainclothes policemen and taken to Tuanjie Police Station. Ms. Li's daughter was later sent home. Ms. Li was tied to a metal chair for 24 hours and then detained for 15 days in at the Changliu Detention Center. Afterwards, she was locked behind a laundry room in the hospital and was forced to watch brainwashing videotapes. Four people were monitoring her, but she managed to escape the following day.
On October 28, 2001, Ms. Li was arrested and held for 24 hours in the Guangming Police Station. Police officers handcuffed her to a railing and would not allow her to go to the restroom. They slapped her when she refused to tell them her name. She was then detained in Changliu Detention Center. On December 26, police officers Jing Guiquan, Tian Yuenan, Wang Qiuli, and others sent her to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun.
In Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Li was beaten. Five days later, she displayed symptoms of a severe heart condition and she was sent to Gongan Hospital in Changchun. She was tied to a metal bed every day and injected with unknown substances. A month later she was taken back to Tonghua City.
In July 2003, Li Xiuying was reported by Song Xizhi, Director of Xinshanwei, who also used Liu Shulan as a false witness. Police officers Liu Wei, Qiao Libin, and others from the 610 Office, as well as Shen Shuheng from the judicial branch, took Ms. Li to Xinzhan Police Station where she was tied to a metal chair. Director Liu Gang slapped her when she refused to take an unknown drug. The following day, she was transported to Changliu Detention Center. On the way, when she shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good," police officers grabbed her by her hair and physically abused her.
Jiang Hongjie, the doctor at the detention center, instigated female inmate Jia Xiubo to insert a feeding tube into Ms. Li. Jia failed and asked a nurse to insert the feeding tube the following day. The inmate grabbed Ms. Li's hair, pulled her head back, and pried her mouth open. They tried repeatedly but failed to insert the tube. They told Ms. Li' family to take her home. The first six days Ms. Li was in the forced labor camp, she had no food or water, but they charged her family 300 yuan for food. They also forced the family to give the prison guards 200 yuan and then refused to give them a receipt.
Song Xizhi saw Ms. Li when she went back to work and colluded with the Xinzhan Police to continue persecuting her. On September 1, 2003, Ms. Li put on her white lab coat and was ready to work. Police officer Wang Jun, suddenly came in and tried to force her to go to the police station. When she refused to go, Director of the Xinzhan Police Station Feng Gang, Qiao, Libin, Liu Wei, and others carried her to the police vehicle and drove to the police station in the Tongchang District. Police officers Jing Guiquan, Tian Yuenan, and Wang Qiuli sent Ms. Li directly to the forced labor camp.
That day, a female guard in the forced labor camp in Chengchun physically abused Ms. Li. She stepped on Ms. Li's heels and dragged her across the paved road. Ms. Li's pants, clothes, and shoes were ragged as a result. The female guard then left her on the ground for more than two hours and ripped her blouse open to expose her. The following day they tried to force-feed Ms. Li. It took them two days to pry her month open and then they stuffed her mouth with salt water and corn mash. By the fourth day, when Ms. Li was so battered, they told her family to carry her out of the forced labor camp.
In September 2005, a police officer tricked Ms. Li's family members into opening their door. When he marched inside the home, he asked whether Li Xiuying was still practicing Falun Gong and whether there were Falun Gong books in the house. Her family said, "Yes, she still practices, but there are no books." They then ordered the officer out of the house.
In August 2006, Ms. Li was at home taking care of her husband who had terminal stomach cancer. Some plainclothes policemen peeked into their home and then knocked on the door. When they did not tell Ms. Li who they were, she refused to open the door for them. After about ten minutes, they left.
From June 12-14, the Tongchang Police Station sent plainclothes policemen to Ms. Li's work unit to inquire about her and also had someone waiting for her outside. However, their scheme to arrest and persecute her failed.
