1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Dejun Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Dejun is the Ganjingzi District Hongqi Court director in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Personnel from the city's National Security Division arrested him and put him into the city's Railway Station Detention Center on June 21, 2007. Police issued an arrest certificate on July 24, 2007. Mr. Li's case has been submitted to the Procuratorate Department.

2. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Personnel from the Nanshancheng Town "610 Office" Harass Falun Gong Practitioner Liu Yu

Five plainclothes policemen, including Xin Yanlei from the Nanchengshan Town "610 Office," broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Yu's home in Ganjingzi Village, Nanshancheng Town and attempted to arrest him at 5:30 a.m. on August 10, 2007. Mr. Liu's son reasoned with them. Policemen knew that they were acting illegally to arrest Mr. Liu and left. Mr. Liu had been sentenced to forced labor twice, with a combined term of three years.

3. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Break into Practitioners' Homes and Forcibly Photograph the Inhabitants

Personnel from the Jiaxi Police Station in Jiamusi City went to practitioners' homes in the residential communities of the Yama Factory and Sugar Factory and photographed and video-recorded practitioners. Policeman Wang Changchun and one other went to harass practitioners in the Beifang Factory Residential Community; they also forcibly photographed and video-recorded practitioners on August 10, 2007.

4. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Zhang Yanfeng Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Yanfeng lives in the residential complex of the Handan City Professional School in Hebei Province. Police arrested him and another practitioner on the night of August 9, 2007.

5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Lu Jinyou Living in Exile

Practitioner Mr. Lu Jinyou from Zhuozhou City, Baoding City started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. Zhuozhou City National Security Division policemen Yang Yugang and others broke into Mr. Lu's home and ransacked the place. Mr. Lu was not at home at the time.

Policemen Yang Yugang and others harassed Mr. Lu's family again in June 2007. Thus Mr. Lu decided to live in exile. His 80-year-old parents need his care.

6. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ma Jiying Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Ma Jiying from Tonghe County and a nurse from the local Women and Children's Health Care Center were arrested. Practitioner Mr. Wang Xuhui was released on August 8, 2007 after two weeks in prison.

7. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Liu Guihua Suffers from Pneumonia Caused by the Persecution

Practitioner Ms. Liu Guihua from Yilan County has been held at the Harbin City Women's Prison for a few years. She is skeleton-like from torture. She suffers from pneumonia and cannot take care of herself.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Personnel from the Changxin Street Police Precinct Beat Practitioner Sun Shuxiang

Practitioner Ms. Sun Shuxiang gave three students a truth-clarifying CD near the Yitong River Bridge the afternoon of August 3, 2007, but they reported her. Later on, personnel from the Changxin Street Police Precinct in the Kuancheng District arrested Ms. Sun. They ordered Ms. Sun to tell them her name and home address. Ms. Sun did not cooperate with them. They forbade her to use the restroom and attempted to force her to be photographed and fingerprinted. Ms. Sun defied them. Police slapped her face and handcuffed her behind her back. They tortured her for a whole night and then transferred her to the Changchun City No.3 Detention Center, but the latter refused to admit her. Police then took her back to the police precinct and handcuffed her to a chair. They eventually released her the afternoon of August 4, 2007.

9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Incidents of Persecution Relating to Practitioners Arrested in Yushu City

Personnel from the Yushu City Police Department's National Security Division and from the Zhengyang, Peiying and Huachang Police Stations arrested eight practitioners on July 10, 2007. Six of them walked out of the detention center. The other two, Ms. Jin Shujun and Ms. Man Shujie, were sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, but the center refused to admit them because of poor health. They should have been released, but personnel from the National Security Division held them in a detention center. They were released on August 10, 2007.

Personnel from the Zhengyang Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Xu Yaxuan on July 30, 2007. He is still being held.

Six officers from the Sihe Town Police Department broke into practitioner Mr. Lu Xianfeng's home and arrested him. They ransacked his home and confiscated some personal belongings. Mr. Lu's whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Beijing] Practitioner Zhao Shuli Arrested

Personnel from the Haidian District Qinghe Police Station in Beijing arrested practitioner Ms. Zhao Shuli, a cashier in the Qinghe Shopping Mall, and ransacked her home toward the end of April 2007. She was recently sentenced to two years of forced labor. Police found an MP3 player containing Falun Gong information during the home-search, but Ms. Zhao has not confirmed that she is a Falun Gong practitioner. The sentence "MP3 player has Falun Gong information" was listed as a reason for sentencing her to forced labor.

11. [Shanghai] Several Practitioners Sentenced

Practitioners Mr. Huang Jiayuan and Mr. Chen Chen were arrested in early May 2006. They were sentenced to four years of forced labor after a year of detention. Practitioner Mr. Yuan Yahui and Ms. Zhang Hongmei were sentenced to three and a half and two years of forced labor, respectively. Practitioners Ms. Yu Mei, Mr. Lu Weixing and Ms. Hua Lingling were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor, with two years of probation. Some practitioners are being held at the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai.

12. [Beijing] Six Practitioners Arrested When Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials in the Dongchenghu Residential Area

13. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Qian Xiaoxiang

Practitioner Ms. Qian Xiaoxiang from Langfang City was reported to police as she distributed truth-clarifying materials in the Western Community near the Aimin Bridge in Langfang City. Police arrested her and ransacked her home.

14. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Xing Enxia Arrested

Several officers, including Zhang Guofu from the Xinhua District in Cangzhou City, went to the district's Procuratorate Department and arrested practitioner Ms. Xing Enxia from Yanshan City. They confiscated her laptop computer and some Dafa books and materials.

15. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Duan Guiping, Liang Xiufen and Li Qiuxia Arrested

Practitioners Ms. Duan Guiping, Ms. Liang Xiufen and her son Mr. Li Qiulin were reported to police on August 10, 2007 as they distributed truth-clarifying materials at Qijialing County. Ms. Liang and her son's home was ransacked that day, and Ms. Duan's home was ransacked at 4:00 a.m. the next morning. They are presently being held at the Qian'an City Police Department's Political Security Section.

16. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Li Shuyan Has Been Held for More Than Two Months

Personnel from the Leting County Police Department in Hebei Province ordered several officers from the Zhongbao Township Police Station to break into practitioner Ms. Li Shuyan's home in Yangkangzhuang Village the morning of June 2, 2007. They duped her and asked her to go to the county's Procuratorate Department. They then told her to sign a certain document and be fingerprinted. Later on they put her into the county's detention center. She has been held there for more than two months. Her family's visits have been refused.

Personnel from the county's Political and Judiciary Committee, from the 610 Office and from the Police Department have often persecuted her since July 1999.

17. [Langfang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Yu Hande Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Yu Hande, 61 years old, is from Yujiamatou Village, Bozi Township, Hanting District, Langfang City, Shandong Province. He is a gate-guard in the village's school. Mr. Yu was fired on June 15, 2007 for his belief in Falun Gong. Personnel from the township police station arrested him on June 18, 2007. They ransacked his home and confiscated a recorder, one of Master's pictures and some other items. Prior to this arrest, since March 2007, police had failed three times to seize him.

18. [Shandong Province] Practitioners Wang Xiuying, Diao Chunhua and Gao Wenmei Arrested

Three practitioners are being abused and mistreated under the persecution in No.3 Division of Shandong Province's No. 2 Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Wang Xiuying, 40 years old, is from Binzhou City, Shandong Province. She was put into the forced labor camp in March 2007. Four policewomen, including Lin Yuezhen and Song Hong, grabbed her hand and wrote the so-called three statements.

Ms. Diao Chunhua, 40 years old, is from Zibo City. She was put into the forced labor camp in 2007. She was forbidden to bathe, sleep or use the bathroom.

Ms. Gao Wenmei, 46 years old, is from the Kuiwen District, Weifang City. She was put into the forced labor camp in August 2006. Police put her into a small compartment for half a year (six months). She explained the facts about Falun Gong to the police, but they hung her up in a restroom and abused her further.

Practitioner Ms. He Jing is a doctor at the Department of Pathology in the Changzhou City Obstetric and Gynecology Hospital in Jiangsu Province. She was arrested at the city's railway station and put into a detention center on June 17, 2007. It was reported that she will be sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor. Her son is left home without care.

Several practitioners from Wuhan City were arrested at 1:00 a.m. on June 23, 2007. Practitioner Mr. Yang Guomin, in his 30s, has been transferred into the Hubei Province Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center.

24. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Several Practitioners

Xichun Township Judiciary Department chief Huang Wenju reported practitioners Ms. Huang Chun, Ms. Gao Xiangshen, Ms. Huang Guiying and Ms. Zhang Suqin at 8:00 p.m. on July 30, 2007.

Personnel from the Chenshi Township and from the Xichun Township Police Station went to Ms. Huang Chun and Ms. Gao's homes and attempted to ransack the places on the morning of July 31, 2007, but they failed because the two homes were locked. Ms. Huang Guiying showed severe illness symptoms and was thus released the afternoon of July 31, 2007. The other three practitioners were put into the Shenzhen City Detention Center on August 1, 2007.

Dafengying Township Police Station Chief Ge Tiancong led two policemen to practitioner Ms. Gao Chunhua's home in Dongli Village and arrested her on June 20, 2007. Ms. Gao has been held at the Shenzhou City Detention Center for more than a month.

Practitioner Ms. Zhong Fangqiong, who was arrested on August 1, 2007, is presently being held at the Chengdu City Pi County Detention Center. Practitioner Ms. Li Ruzhen, who was arrested August 2, 2007, is presently being held at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.

27. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Tang Xuejun Arrested in Zhuhai City

Practitioner Mr. Tang Xuejun, 44 years old, is from Yiyang City, Hunan Province. He started to teach at the Liuxiang Town Wenwu School in Doumen District, Zhuhai City a year ago. Summer holidays started and Mr. Tang planned to go home by train, but police arrested him the night of July 11, 2007. He is presently being held at the city's No.2 Detention Center.

Mr. Tang was sentenced to three years of forced labor in November 1999 and held at the Changsha City Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp until May 2003. In order to find a job, he went to Zhuhai City. Mr. Tang had worked in the school for a year and should have been paid on July 11, 2007. School president Liu Wanyou colluded with the Doumen District 610 Office and arrested Mr. Tang.

28. [Guizhou Province] Persecution of Practitioners in Liupanshui City

Zhongshan Police Department's National Security Division chief Chen Wenhai and deputy chief Wang Qingfu arrested practitioner Mr. Li Jixue from Liu Panshui City. Two other practitioners were arrested at the same time. Personnel from the local police stations and from the street residential committees often harassed practitioners.

Practitioner Ms. Peng Zelan distributed truth-clarifying materials in the middle of July 2007. A taxi driver reported her, and personnel from the Weiqing Street Police Station and from the Touqiao Police Station arrested her. She is presently being held at the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Several plainclothes policemen arrested practitioner Ms. Chen Ju because someone reported her as having stored truth-clarifying discs in her son's booth. Ms. Chen was put into the Shenyang City Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Personnel from the Boshan District 610 Office arrested 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhao Yulan. Police had extorted 8,000 yuan from her family prior to the arrest. She is presently being held at the Zibo City Brainwashing Center.

Policemen from Changde City and Binzhou City broke into a home on the seventh floor of a building in the downtown area the morning of August 11, 2007. Two female practitioners who had lived there escaped. Police also ransacked neighbor Mr. Cui Juwu's home. Mr. Cui and his wife Ms. Luo Ting have been arrested.
