People sign petition to support practitioners
The fair parade started at 10:45 in the morning. The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of Falun Gong practitioners from Australia, performed in the parade. Following the band, practitioners performed celestial maiden dances. The waist drum team followed the dancers and their drumming attracted many spectators.
Practitioners passed out a lot of truth-clarifying materials and collected many signatures on petitions opposing the persecution. Many citizens told practitioners that they already knew about the persecution and expressed their support to practitioners. A Congressman said to practitioners that the organ harvesting existing in China is not tolerable.
A high school student, who learned about the persecution during the rallies held during APEC, came to the practitioners' booth to express her support. She said that she will attend the Human Rights Torch Relay event next month, and will pass on the information about it to her friends and teachers.
A Chinese lady came to the booth and asked for copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other truth-clarifying materials. She was glad to have a chance to learn the truth about Falun Gong.
A gentleman who will go to China to inspect the food quality during the 2008 Olympic Games learned the facts of the persecution and organ harvesting from practitioners. He signed his name on the petition and said that since he often goes to China, he will help Falun Gong practitioners when he has a chance.
Practitioners have attended every Spring Fair in Chatwood in the last eight years. The Spring Fair has been a great chance for them to spread the Fa and clarify the truth about Falun Gong.
