(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of September 13, 2007, a forum of international specialists on China was held at Hawke Center at the University of South Australia in Adelaide. The purpose was to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) human rights atrocities including their harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific, Mr. David Matas, human rights lawyer, and Mr. Erping Zhang, Falun Gong spokesperson, gave presentations about China, including issues of Internet control in China and the role of Western countries in changing China. The forum made a big impact among the audience members.

More than one hundred people attended the forum. Felicity-ann Lewis, Mayor of Marion, Adelaide, hosted the forum.
Mr. Matas said that a United Nations report indicated that two-thirds of human rights violations in China were directed at Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Matas contined, saying that criticizing the CCP's human rights record does not affect commerce or trade with China, because the CCP cannot give up trade for its own interest. Keeping pressure on the CCP can cause it to change its actions.
Mr. Kilgour said that he had been to more than forty countries and the Falun Gong practitioners he met were the best people.
Mr. Kilgour expressed that those who carefully read his and David Matas' Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China are convinced by the 31 proofs in the report. Even the CCP cannot rebut the proofs. The CCP has issued new rules on organ transplantation, which indicates that it indirectly admits the truth of the report.
Mr. Erping Zhang exposed in detail the severity and methods of the CCP's Internet blockade. He also talked about the accomplishments of international technical specialists in breaking through the blockade.
After the forum, many audience members asked questions, including, "How can we have more people know the facts?" "How to achieve balance between commerce and human rights?" The replies of the guest speakers elicited applause again and again.
After the two-hour presentation and the question and answer session, many people continued talking to the guests and said that they wanted more people to know the facts. Some audience members sent emails to the speakers later and told them that the forum changed their view of Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. John Rolls, President of the South Australia Human Rights Federation, said that the prepared talks were great and that the illegal organ transplantation should get extensive attention.
Dee Diamando, a staff member of a community radio broadcasting station, said, "The forum let us set up a connection and think about what we can do here to help people learn about and stop the crimes in China."
A doctor who attended the forum said that he had initially thought there would be a lot of propaganda at the forum. However, he came away afterwards saying that he was convinced of the truth of the allegations of human rights crimes in China.
