(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gong Xuejun, aged 30, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Lechang City, Guangdong Province. Her infant son is just over one year old. The 610 Office in Lechang City ransacked her house and forcibly took her to Lechang Detention Center on August 19, 2008. She was illegally detained there for one month. During her detention, Ms. Gong's relatives were not permitted to see her. Later, due to her relatives' repeated requests, they were able to meet with Ms. Gong Xuejun twice.
After October 1, 2008 (one month after her detention), Ms. Gong Xuejun was taken to the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp, along with practitioner Yu Shanzhen whose daughter is only three years old.
The authorities at Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp stipulated that Ms. Gong Xuejun's relatives could meet with Ms. Gong, but only on November 12, 2008. That day, nine of Ms. Gong's relatives went to the labor camp to see her. But the labor camp personnel would only permit Ms. Gong's closest relatives to meet her and even refused to allow her one-year-old son to see his mom. In addition, all of Ms. Gong's relatives who are younger than Ms. Gong Xuejun were not permitted to see her. When the eldest of Ms. Gong's relatives asked the labor camp personnel who it what that stipulated this, they made the excuse that it was ordered by the higher authorities.
When her relatives saw Ms. Gong they could hardly recognize her. Because Gong Xuejun had been tortured, her weight had dropped from 49kg to 30kg (approximately 108 lbs to 66 lbs) within one month. She was nothing but skin and bones. Her eyes were sunken and her hair had been cut short and was in disarray. Upon seeing her shocking condition, Ms. Gong's relatives were in tears. Her eldest relative admonished the guards that if they dared to torture her further they would be held responsible for their actions.
