Ms. Song is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shashi District, Jingzhou City. In 2008, she was working in Shunde City, Guangdong Province with her husband Mr. Xiong Zhiguo. On July 4, police from Sunde Police Station entered Mr. Xiong and Ms. Song's house under the pretense of checking their temporary resident status. They took away Mr. and Ms. Xiong without giving a reason. On the second day, the police found out that Ms. Song was three months pregnant, and told her elder cousin to pay 5,000 yuan and take her home.
Later on, Ms. Song went to the police station several times to ask them to release her husband. The police deceived Ms. Song, telling her, "Come here to meet your husband tomorrow. We will release him then."
The next day when Ms. Song Chang went to the police station, policeman Li Zhenggang and others from the first section of the Shashi Police Station arrested her. Ms. Song was taken back to Shashi, The police in Shashi detained Ms. Song at the Station for Women and Children's Health and forced her to have an abortion. 20 days after the abortion, Ms. Song was forcefully detained in Shashi Detention Center by CCP personnel.
