(Clearwisdom.net) After reading the article, "Sharing My Cultivation Process of Seven Years at a Truth Materials Site," many practitioners shared their different understandings and gave either positive or negative comments to some of the points raised by the author of the article. I would also like to share my understandings about this article.
I thought about why the author spent so much time and effort to write an article of over 30,000 words. Was it to tell other people how much effort practitioners at truth-clarification materials production sites contribute? To seek understandings from other practitioners at materials production sites? Actually I believe the purpose of this article can't be understood by people who hold on to humanness in one hand, and Dafa in the other hand. The author, standing on the side of the righteous Fa and righteous enlightenment of altruism and selflessness, exposed one serious question that commonly exists in our whole body: How much heart have we put into the Fa-rectification, and selfish elements in this life?
Some practitioners say that this article's tone is not kind, and it lacks compassion. I would say that more precisely, the author feels sorry and grieves for those people who haven't put their hearts into Dafa work. Such a state without ego, and the willingness to endure hardship and tribulation to save sentient beings moves people to tears.
Because some of us don't put enough heart into the Fa-rectification, we have a mentality of waiting or relying on others technically, and have the mentality of learning some techniques passively, non-actively or due to sentimentality. We may have a strong mentality to protect ourselves and focus on our own losses and gains, rather than on validating Dafa and saving people, and we may say that we don't have the skills to produce truth-clarification materials, and believe that others are better suited to doing this work.
The above issue is quite prominent in our local area. The manifestation of this is the overall situation in saving sentient beings not being fully realized. We don't have enough practitioners to clarify the truth and hand out materials, and even fewer people to make materials. As a result the local wicked people are still quite rampant. The problem with individual practitioners may be even more prominent. Some people know that Dafa is good, and they don't want to give up Dafa. They also know that what Master asks us to do is the three things, not two things, and they know they need to keep up. However, they worry about loss and gain, and after careful and detailed "security" precautions, they may do something such as handing out truth-clarifying materials, but the amount of materials and frequency of doing so are extremely limited. Their truth-clarification and distribution of materials are actually based on safeguarding their future lives and originate from selfish elements in their lives.
In fact, they mistakenly treat being sly, astute and conscious of self-preservation as "righteous thoughts." From a certain angle, the evil tries to firmly control these practitioners' human states, but they still enjoy it and think they are clear-headed. They don't realize this is a kind of interference and transformed persecution. I also find that such people have difficulty making breakthroughs. Their notion is, "I don't make materials or do less, which is better than the evil finding an excuse to persecute me and later having to write a solemn statement, leaving stains on my cultivation!" They are really blocked by this "smartness," so they can't get over this state after many years.
As mentioned in the article, "Sharing My Cultivation Process of Seven Years at a Truth Materials Site," over the past few years practitioners who always walk on the front line of the Fa-rectification are old faces, they fall down and stand up, fall down and stand up again. The others, who could not step forward, still cannot step forward because they still can't get beyond the "selfish" scope and let go of everyday people's interests and sentimentality, and are stuck in personal cultivation. Such people find it hard to understand practitioners who walk on the front line of the Fa-rectification. They only think about themselves, and the problems they see are limited to the "attachment of doing things" or "failing to study Fa well," etc. but they don't consider things from the perspective of the whole body of Dafa, from Fa-rectification, and from saving sentient beings. That is why the author of the article spoke from his heart and moved people to tears, "The greatness of Buddha's grace may only be understood by Dafa practitioners who walk through the Fa-rectification period, but what they can enlighten to is not enough. The compassion of the Buddha can only be understood by genuine practitioners."
During the process of changes in the cosmos, following Master Li in the Fa-rectification, if you still focus on personal loss and gain, personal safety and danger, then you are only letting the cosmos position you based on your mind-state level. History will eventually show and validate everything about you!
Master says in "Non-Omission" from Essentials for Further Advancement,
"Yet if a cultivator or an everyday person who cannot even make fundamental sacrifices also discusses this principle, he is actually undermining the Fa by making excuses for the attachments he cannot let go of."
If your "thoughts" are not righteous, where do the "righteous actions" come from? Your so-called righteous thoughts and actions become an excuse to cover up your own attachment and accuse others of having loopholes.
In the end, I also suggest that every Dafa practitioner read the article "Share" and find the gaps in their mind-states. At the same time, we should ask ourselves: In such an unprecedented Fa-rectification of the cosmos, we, wearing the first title in the cosmos--Fa- rectification period Dafa disciples--how much heart have we put into the Fa-rectification? Do you selflessly devote yourself to the Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings, or do you use the Fa-rectification to further your own pursuits?
