Ms. Liu Jinwen, a retired teacher, was 72 years old. After July 20, 1999, her son and daughter-in-law were arrested multiple times and her home was ransacked three times. The elderly woman was tortured both physically and mentally.

After May 2008, with the excuse of "maintaining peace for the Olympics," the police went to her home and harassed her again and again. Physically and emotionally worn down by the persecution and constant pressure, Ms. Liu passed away on July 5.

On July 15, 2008, Jinqiao Police Department arrested Ms. Han Fuyue from Dashiqiao City. She is currently being detained at the Dashiqiao City Detention Center.

On May 8, with the excuse of "maintaining peace for the Olympics," police from the Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Dong Xiaobao, Mr. Jin Shunsheng, Mr. Zou Zhaokui, Ms. Zhang Fenfang and other practitioners from Xinyu City, and confiscated more than 10 satellite receivers used for accessing New Tang Dynasty TV.

Ms. Liu Guoxiu, 72 years old, is a practitioner from Xindu District. On the morning of July 16, 2008, she was reported by someone while clarifying the truth. She was arrested and is currently being detained at the Chengxi Police Station in Xindu District.

On July 13, 2008, police from the Liangjiashan Township Police Station in Shulan City broke into the home of Mr. Zhang Xinkuan. They demanded that Mr. Zhang write a statement to assure that he would not leave home, but he refused. The policemen ransacked his home and confiscated more than 20 copies of "Minghui Weekly." They also arrested Zhang Xinkuan and took him to the Nanshan Detention Center.

Police from Yinli Township Police Station arrested Ms. Cong Fen from Hushizhuang Village, Yinli Township, Jinzhou City.

At 6 a.m., July 9, 2008, police from the Hanting District Police Department in Weifang City arrested Ms. Zhang Dexiang (65 years old) from Xiying Village in Gaoli Township. They confiscated Dafa books, pictures of Teacher, tape players, exercise music tapes, and 2,550 yuan in cash. Zhang Dexiang has since returned to her home.

On the night of July 9, 2008, Ms. Deng Qiao-er was arrested at her home.

On the night of July 15, 2008, police arrested Ms. Nie Shuxia from Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province, after she was held captive in her own home for two days. She is currently being detained at the Youyi Police Station.

Ms. Chen Qixiu, 57 years old, lives in Shizi Village, Yuanyang Township, Yubei District, Congqing City. On September 24, 2005, policemen from the Jinkai Police Department of Yubei District, together with policemen from the Yuanyang Township Police Station, broke into the home of Chen Qixiu with the excuse of checking for a residential registration. They confiscated all Dafa books, truth-clarification materials and two radios. They arrested Chen and detained her at the Yuanyang Township Police Station. Chen Qixiu escaped from the police station that same night and had no other choice but to leave home for fear of another arrest.

On July 13, Ms. Yang Shurong from Sandian, Xishui County in Hubei Province and another two practitioners were arrested while clarifying the truth in Guankou Township after a passerby reported them. On the second day, Yang Shurong was sent to Beijing and the other two practitioners were sent to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

On July 15, 2008, Mr. Zhang Jian and other practitioners from Liusong Township, Xianghe County were arrested and their homes ransacked.

At noon on July 15, 2008, Mr. Yang Li, in his 50's, from Dayangzhuang Village, Doucun Township, Wuqiang County in Hengshui, was arrested.

On July 5, 2008, Ms. Wu Quanzhen from Luojia Township in Peng-an County was arrested again.

On July 15, 2008, policemen from the Xin-an Police Station in Yuhua District in Shijiazhuang City ransacked Ms. Lan Shen's home in Daxizhang Village, Liucun Township, Yuhua District. Police took away copies of the "Nine Commentaries on the Community Party" and truth-clarification materials. Lan Shen's husband was forcefully arrested. Later, he was released after his family members had 3,000 yuan extorted from them.

On the afternoon of July 15, 2008, Mr. Zhang Guangquan was arrested by police from the local Beidao Police Station who were led by the security staff of the village.

Ms. Si Zhimin, in her 50's, is on staff at the Stomatological Hospital, which is affiliated with the Chongqing City Medical School. During the period of July 20, 1999, Si Zhimin was detained for 48 hours by the Shangqingsi Police Station.

In January 2000, Si Zhimin went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested on Tiananmen Square. After she was sent back to Congqing, she was detained in the Liziba Detention Station in Chongqing. After 30 days, she successfully escaped with her righteous thoughts.

In January 2001, Si Zhimin was arrested and taken to the Liziba Detention Station because she was caught distributing truth-clarification materials in her neighborhood. Later, she served three years of labor "re-education" in the Maojiashan Women's Labor Camp in Chongqing City. She was forced to do intensive slave labor. She also suffered from all kinds of torture including being hung up with handcuffs.

On September 29, 2007, because of the 17^th National Congress Meeting, Si Zhimin was arrested by police from the local police station and the National Security Bureau. She was detained in Wangxiangtai, Lushan Village, Yubei District. After 30 days, she successfully escaped.

On May 16, 2008, while Si Zhimin distributed truth-clarification materials, several pedestrians forcefully took her to the Daxigou Police Station. Later, she was detained in the Liudianzi Police Station in Daping, Chongqing. After another 15 days, she was sent to the Shabao Labor Camp in Congqing for a two-year term of labor "re-education."

At around 9 a.m., July 15, 2008, police from the Huaiancheng Township Police Station arrested Ms. Shi Wulan and her sister-in-law from Yuanjiafang Village, Huaiancheng Township, Huaian County. They were sent to Caigoubao Township in Huaian County for torture.

At 5 a.m. on July 17, 2008, police broke into Ms. Qi Wenyu's home and arrested her.

On the morning of July 9, 2008, over 10 policemen from the Daoli Police Department arrested Mr. Chen Chunming from Harbin and ransacked his home. Mr. Jiang Peng was arrested at his workplace and Ms. Yu Wei was arrested at her home. Currently, Jiang Peng and Chen Chunming are being detained at the detention center of Daoli Police Department, and Yu Wei is being detained at the No. 2 Detention Center of the city.

On the morning of July 11, 2008, with the excuse of "maintaining peace for the Olympic Torch Relay," the Political and Judiciary Committee of Chuanyin district of Jilin province arrested Ms. Che Didi and detained her in a brainwashing center near Longtanshan in Jilin City. The 6-year-old daughter of Che Didi urgently needs her mother's care.

On the afternoon of July 14, 2008, eleven policemen from the Beiwangli Township Police Station in Qingwan, Baoding, broke into the homes of Mr. Wang Jianlin, Mr. Wang Guozhong and Mr. Wang Xiaoyan. Currently, Wang Jianlin is being detained at the Qingwan Brainwashing Center. The situation of Wang Guozhong and Wang Xiaoyan remains unknown.

On July 10, Ms. Liang Zhuanmei from Datong City was arrested in the Datong Railway Station for carrying truth-clarification materials. She is currently being detained at the No. 1 Detention Station in Datong. On the afternoon of July 15, police ransacked her home and seized several tens of thousands of yuan from Liang Zhuanmei's home.

At 10:30 p.m. on July 13, 2008, police from the Chengde City Police Department broke into the building for families of the Shuangtashan Mining Machinery Factory. They arrested Ms. Wang Xirong and Ms. Wang Ruifen.

On July 16, 2008, the 610 office of Zhuolu County arrested Ms. Meng Suli, Mr. Li Taibiao, Mr. Zhang Lin, Ms. Zhou Jianfeng, Mr. Cao (a teacher from Xiguan Elementary School) and Mr. Tang Shifeng (a resident of Wanzhuang Village).

At around 11 p.m. July 16, 2008, Jinan Police broke through a window into the home of Ms. Luo Xiufang and Ms. Sun Jing (who are mother and daughter) and arrested them.

At noon on July 12, under the pretext of holding the Olympics, six or seven policemen from the Jiaotong Police Station in Gaomi City, Shandong Province broke into the home of Mr. Yang Tongbin. They seized Dafa books and CDs, and demanded Yang to write a statement to give up the practice of Falun Gong. Yang refused. Police forcefully arrested Yang and are holding him in a detention center.

On the morning of April 25, 2008, Duan Xuejun, director of the Zhangyin Township Police Station, arrested Mr. Zhang Qiwei and took him to the Zhangyin Police Station. They violently beat Zhang, ransacked his home, extorted 1,000 yuan from his family members, and then released him.

At the same time, police broke into the home of Mr. Zhang Congjie. They seized Zhang Congjie's computer, printer, Dafa books and 1,365 yuan in cash. Currently, Zhang Congjie has become homeless to avoid further persecution.

On the afternoon of July 5, 2008, police from the Zhangyin Township Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Yufang from Liangjiatun, Zhangyin Township while she was clarifying the truth in Dazhuge Industry Park. She is currently being detained at the Jiaozhou City Detention Center.

On July 8, 2008, Ms. Liu Yulian was arrested and taken to the Linqing Detention Station.

On the afternoon of July 16, Ms. Sun Jianlin (48 years old) from Xiqing District of Tianjing City was arrested. The police seized her computer and printer, and other items. She is currently being detained at the Xiqing District Detention Center in Tianjing City.

Ms. Liu Fengrong and Ms. Zheng Aimin from Wangchang Township, Zaoqiang County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province, were arrested on May 27 and May 29, 2008, respectively and sentenced to labor "re-education." Liu Fengrong was sentenced to a one-year term. Zheng Aimin was sentenced to a 1.5-year term.

At the end of June, 2008, Mr. Jin Hai, from the Electric Power Management Corporation from Shengli Oil Farm, Dongying City, Shandong Province, was sentenced to a five year jail term. He had already been sent to the Jinan Prison where he has undergone torture.

Mr. Wang Jianmin from Fushun, Liaoning, was sentenced to a one-year term of labor "re-education." Mr. Gao Jian was arrested in the middle of June. He was sentenced to labor "re-education" soon afterwards. Currently, he is being detained at the Fushun City Labor Camp.

On July 11, Ms. Pang Yali from Yushu City was arrested and sent to the police department by the village officials, village security director, and four or five policemen. She is currently being held at a detention center.

Mr. Cui Jianyi, 51 years old and a Korean national minority, lives in Yanji City, Jilin Province. On the morning of July 15, he was arrested by policemen from the Gongyuan Police Station in Yanji City. He is currently being detained at the Yanji Detention Center.

Ms. Jing Miaoqing and her husband were detained in the Daqing Detention Station and in Longnan area, respectively.

On the afternoon of July 11, 2008, with the excuse of "maintaining peace for the Olympic Torch Relay," Daqing Oil College authorities harassed several practitioners who were employed at the college. They also threatened the family members of the practitioners, they did not allow practitioners to leave their homes; otherwise, they would terminate their salary. They attempted to force practitioners to call them every two hours.

On July 13, 2008, police arrested Ms. Liu Lihua from Sanjiazi Township, Yongji County and ransacked her home.

On July 5, 2008, Mr. Huang Yabin was arrested in Benxi.

On July 15, 2008, police from the Gongnon Police Station in Wanghua District, Fushun City arrested Ms. Er Liping.

On July 15, 2008, Ms. Zhang Yutang's home was ransacked.

Since the "Olympic Torch Relay" will arrive in Liaoyang County on July 18, five staff members of the Political and Judiciary Committee and the Shoushan Township Police Station ransacked the home of Mr. Guan Hantie. Guan Hantie was arrested on September 19, 2007 and sent to the Shizuizi Labor Camp. He is still in detention at this moment.

The police also ransacked the homes of Ms. Xu Shuyan, Mr. Liu Jifu and Ms. Shi Guiyin and took away their Dafa books.

In July 2008, policemen from the Chengcheng Township Police Station arrested Mr. Liu Jizhi, 38 years old, from Changcheng Township, Lushun City.

On July 14 or July 15, police from Kouqian Township, Yongji County, arrested Ms. Zhang (in her 60's). They also arrested her son-in-law and grandson, who do not practice Falun Gong. They are currently being detained at the Xishan Detention Station in Yongji County and not allowed family visits. The police seized Ms. Zhang's Dafa books, computer, and other belongings.

At around 5 a.m. on July 16, 2008, five policemen from Chaoyangchun, Wulubutie Township, Erlunchun Autonomous City in Inner Mongolia broke into the home of Mr. Wang Weiqi and his wife, Ms. Yu Wenxia. Police forcefully arrested the two practitioners. Currently, the two practitioners are being detained at the Alihe Detention Station.

On September 27, 2007, Ms. Hui Xiying, 58 years old, was arrested by police from the Xinhua Street Police Station.

On the night of July 13, 2008, just before the "Olympic Torch Relay" arrived in Jilin, Mr. Li Wenjun, his father, Mr. Li Zhanxin and his mother, Ms. Feng Fengyun from the Tool Factory District of Jilin City, were arrested.

At around 5 p.m. on July 12, 2008, three policemen from the Chengguan Police Station in Huanghua City broke into the home of Mr. Li Zhaochen. The police seized truth-clarification materials and Dafa books.

Practitioner Mr. Yu Zhou, a well-known musician, was killed while detained under the pretext of maintaining order during the Olympics. His wife, Ms. Xu Na is currently being detained at the Congwen District Detention Station. On July 21, the Congwen District Court will hold a trial for Xu Na.

At around 7 a.m., July 21, 2008, police from the Domestic Security Division of Gansu Province, Qingyang City Police Department and Qingyang City Education Department, with the help of officials from the Yima High School, ransacked the dorms of Mr. Zhu Chuangxin and Mr. Yao Lishu. The police seized Dafa materials, laptops, and other items. The two practitioners are currently being detained in the Huan County Detention Center.
