(Clearwisdom.net) On August 18, 2008, six officers from the Zuojiatang Police Station in theYuhua District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, broke into Ms. Wang Yuhui's house and illegally arrested her. While ransacking her house, they confiscated her computer and some personal items.
Ms. Wang Yuhui, 34, was a teacher at Chezhannanlu Elementary School in the Yuhua District. She is talented at calligraphy and was a member of the Calligraphy Association of Changsha. Under her guidance, several students won calligraphy contests both in and outside of China. Why was this talented teacher arrested? The only reason for her arrest was that she is a Falun Gong practitioner.
After she was arrested, without a hearing or trial, she was sent to the Legislative Educational Training Center in the city. This center was organized by the 610 Office for the sole purpose of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. More specifically, the center is for brainwashing the practitioners into giving up their practice. In this brainwashing center, she is kept in a room and watched 24 hours a day. There is no freedom at all. The 610 Office agents often send staff members to give her "lessons" and "talks," slandering Falun Gong and pressuring her to give up her practice.
Ms. Wang's child is six years old and is in kindergarten. Her husband works in the city of Xiangtan and can return home only once a week. Since Ms. Wang's arrest, her elderly parents have been taking care of the child. The arrest has caused her family much anguish.
On the same day as Ms. Wang's arrest, another resident of Changsha, Mr. Li Zhihong, was arrested by officers from the Wenyi Police Station in the Furong District of Changsha. He was an accountant at the Southern Building Material company and well respected. His family and friends do not know where he is.
On the same day, two kind people were arrested because of their faith in Truthfulness-Compassion- Forbearance. Based on their personal experience, they often said, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Security for the Olympics" was the excuse used to persecute these two practitioners. We know that in the first half of 2008, at least 8,037 practitioners were arrested. In Changsha alone, the following people have been arrested since March: Lai Jinming, Liu Guorong, Li Zhihong, Cai Xinou, He Xianggu, Tang Yingxia, Ren Liyun, and Liang Jianguo. Most of these practitioners have been transferred to forced labor camps.
We are calling on all people with a sense of justice to help them return to their families.

Appendix: Brief Information about the Changsha 610 Office's Legislative Educational Training Center
This center is located in the Kaifu District of the Laodaohe Township in Changsha. It is surrounded by hills on three sides. Above its walls are high-voltage wires. During the day, its metal front door is always closed. Originally the building was intended for meetings of elderly retirees. It was bought by the 610 Office and converted into a brainwashing center solely for Falun Gong practitioners in Hunan Province. The director of the center is Wu Kaiming, who is also the deputy director of the 610 Office in Changsha. The other deputy directors are Shi Jin and Chen Zeming, and there are five more staff members. The center started its operations in November 2002. It has conducted dozens of brainwashing sessions. Over the years, the staff has inflicted great harm on the bodies and minds of practitioners.
The staff members in this center threaten the practitioners: "When you come in here, there are three choices: one is to give up your practice, another is to go to a mental hospital, and the third alternative is to go to a forced labor camp." Tang Min, a practitioner in Changsha, was sent to a mental hospital because she resisted persecution. Many were sent to forced labor camps.
