On December 30, 2008, at 8:00 p.m., the Divine Performing Arts Company staged its first performance at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles. The second performance was staged on New Years Eve, December 31.
The pure compassion and pure beauty the show emanated became an unforgettable experience for the audience. Two professionals praised the show after the final scene, "Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope."
World-class Art and Strong Connotations of Chinese Culture
Nancy Hawkins, a professor of dance who teaches dance and researches the pulse of music, came all the way from Guam for the show. Professor Hawkins is a world traveler and has visited Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and other Asian regions. After the show, she said excitedly, "The show has strong connotations of Chinese culture." She continued, "The production is very professional and it is world class. It is very colorful. The costumes in every scene are different. I liked it very much."

What impressed the professor were the dancers' skill and the ever-changing movements. She could recognize that the dancers had to adhere to a strict training that allowed them to move so perfectly.
"Listening to the traditional instruments of the orchestra was enjoyable, and it was incredible to see the performers fly up in the sky, wearing different kinds of costumes, especially in front of the 3D backdrop."
Management Adviser: Chinese Culture Is Broad and Contains Multiple Elements
Michael W. Farmer, a management adviser at an international company, accompanied Ms. Hawkins. He was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the performances and said, "We saw from a different point of view arts and culture, containing multiple elements."
Mr. Farmer praised the high standard he perceived in the entire performance. But most impressive in his mind was the live orchestra.
He continued, "Chinese culture is not one dimensional. It is broad and contains multiple elements. It has many treasures, which can benefit the whole world. It is the start of a new era."
