(Clearwisdom.net) (By a correspondent in Hunan Province) Practitioner Ji Yong in Hengyang was persecuted because of his belief in Falun Dafa. He was forced to stay away from home, but was arrested by the police in Wuhan City in August 2009, and taken to Changsha Forced Labor Camp in late September. His mother was sentenced to three years in prison because she was seen distributing truth clarification materials. She is currently imprisoned in Hangzhou City Women's Prison in Zhejiang Province.
Mr. Ji Yong, 35, is a practitioner in Hengyang City. Before he began cultivation he had hepatitis, which infected his stomach, spleen, and pancreas. He went to see many doctors, but kept getting sicker and sicker, until he could not walk or eat. He was dying. At this critical moment in his life, he encountered, and began practicing, Falun Gong. His health improved as soon as he began to cultivate. He had totally recovered within a month.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20,1999. Mr. Ji steadfastly believed in Dafa and insisted on cultivating. On January 18, 2000, both he and his mother were arrested by officers from Baishazhou Police Station, taken to the jail and held there for a month.
After they were released, the CCP agents continued to harass them. One day in March 2004, the police came to Mr. Ji's workplace to arrest him. However, he managed to escape and went to Shanghai.
In 2007, his mother went to her hometown in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province to distribute truth clarification materials. She was reported, and was arrested and sentenced to three and a half years in Hangzhou City Women's Prison.
Later, Mr. Ji went back to Wuhan City. In late August 2009, he was arrested and held in the Wuhan Detention Center. Twenty days later, Hengyang City police brought him to Hengyang, and jailed him in the Second Prison without notifying his family members. Not until September 28, 2009, when they took him to the Changsha Forced Labor Camp, did they notify his family members. His family did not even have time to deliver clothes to him.
