(Clearwisdom.net) October 1, 2009 was the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s seizing power in China. To commemorate the 3300 Falun Gong practitioners who have lost their lives under persecution by the CCP, Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney, Australia gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate and held a peaceful protest. They condemned CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and exposed the CCP's atrocities in persecuting the Chinese people.
At dusk, the practitioners lit candles and sat in the gentle wind to commemorate the fellow practitioners who were tortured to death by the CCP. The candlelight vigil also reminded everyone that in the past 60 years, more than 80 million Chinese people died unnatural deaths under the CCP.
Practitioner Ms. Zhang talked about her experience of being imprisoned for 8 months in China. She was also imprisoned in a male cell. Practitioner Zhang Yaxin's niece, 25-year-old Chang Qing, died from police brutality in China.
