(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: Each time we publish news of this nature, we do so with heavy hearts. These people started off as public servants, but under the intense pressure applied by the Chinese Communist regime, they were pushed into persecuting Dafa disciples. In the process of destroying the lives of kind, law-abiding citizens, they have sealed their own fates and inevitably now face karmic retribution as punishment. If it weren't for the regime's wicked orders, perhaps their fates would have been different.
Zhang Qingchun, a middle-aged chief of Domestic Security Division of Dehui Municipal Public Security Bureau, has actively contributed to the evil persecution of Falun Gong. In November 2009, Zhang did not feel well and underwent a physical examination in Beijing. An advanced colorectal cancer was diagnosed during the exam. The cancer cells have spread from the colorectal area to his liver and lungs. According to his doctor, Zhang probably has only six to eight months left to live.
Zhang was originally a worker at the Department of Agricultural Mechanics in Dehui City. He was later transferred to the public security system where he served as a police officer at Xiajiadian Police Station and then in the Domestic Security Division. Due to his hard work in the persecution of Falun Gong, Zhang was promoted to a position as the chief of the division. During the past ten years, his division has arrested hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners, and more than 100 of them have been unlawfully charged, detained and sentenced. Zhang abuses his authority by torturing Dafa practitioners to extort so-called "confessions." He colludes with policemen from Changchun Public Security Bureau to persecute Dafa practitioners in Dehui City, and uses a variety of torture methods on Dafa practitioners, including the tiger bench, pulling a plastic bag over the head for suffocation, putting a steel bucket over the head, and then violently drumming on it, handcuffing hands behind the back, and so on. Zhang also directs police officers to track and arrest Dafa practitioners. They monitor the practitioners' telephone calls and monitor their residential activities. Zhang Qingchun personally escorts officers to illegally trespass at Dafa practitioners' homes where they confiscate Dafa books, cash, computers, printers, truth clarification materials, and other personal property.
In July 2009, Zhang persecuted Mr. Shao Fangdong, a Dafa practitioner in Dehui. He wanted to send Mr. Shao to a forced labor camp. He treated the investigators of the Legal Section of the bureau to grant his proposal. His action directly resulted in Mr. Shao's being detained in the Weizigao Forced Labor Camp for a year and a half. On the eve of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Zhang instructed officers from the Dehui Municipal Public Security Bureau to illegally arrest nearly forty Dafa practitioners. In the past decade, he has vigorously used his powers to extort money from Dafa practitioners and their families to line his pockets.
For years, Dafa practitioners have tried to clarify the truth to Zhang Qingchun with the hope that he will come to understand the true nature of the persecution, but he carried on an even more frenzied persecution of Dafa practitioners. On one particular occasion, a Dafa practitioner met Zhang. Knowing that he was the chief of the Domestic Security Division, the practitioner started to clarify the truth to him. The following day, the disciple's home was monitored and put under surveillance by the division.
Dafa practitioners wish to give salvation to all sentient beings and do not want to see anyone suffer from their sins, including those who have committed crimes against Dafa, as we have no enemies. Hopefully from now on, Zhang will no longer persecute Falun Gong and will make up for his sins. Otherwise, he will have no chance of survival. We also hope that the officers in the Dehui Municipal Public Security Bureau are more aware of the truth and don't follow in Zhang's footsteps. Dafa practitioners sincerely hope that all the officers there will be saved.
