(Clearwisdom.net) The opening of Divine Performing Arts' (DPA) 2009 World Tour at the renowned Stadsschouwburg in the city center of Antwerpen on February 23, 2009 was a delight for the audience. Among the audience was the general adviser of a major bank in Antwerpen, Mr. Fleurent, who was accompanied by his friend, Mrs. van Krunkelsven.

Mr. Fleurent admired the dancers and their beautiful costumes. "Very nice, and the costumes--very colorful and very flowing. It is like they are weightless," he said.
Mrs. van Krunkelsven, a professional hairdresser, said, "This is special, it is something new, something different. Technically it is perfect, the synchronization is very good," she said.
Marketing manager, Mr. Bervoets, was one of many who came to see the performance showcasing China's 5,000-year-old culture. His overall impression was that the show was "Very colorful. It's totally different from the [DPA] show I saw last year, but I can find the same message in it. I really enjoyed it."
Marketing manager Anneke enjoyed the show, "Very much, very beautiful. For me, it is very new." She was accompanied by the editor of a French newspaper, Abbid, who said, "Yes, the mix between tradition and technology is nice, and we didn't expect that."
Anneke used to be a classical ballet dancer, so she empathized with the artists. "I feel very close to these people, because I know how hard it is. They are very disciplined," she said.
The management staff of a hotel was also at the show. Salesman Mr. Walle sensed the vitality of the performance. "It is a lively show, there is variety, it is sparkling. The live music is also very close to the audience [orchestra level] which gives an extra dimension to this performance. We are very delighted to be here ... and we are very, very happy. It is an amazing show, really, and also the soprano and the baritone. I never heard such voices before in my life," he said.
Ms. Ayat, the hotel marketing manager and salesperson and her assistant Anouk thoroughly enjoyed the programs. "You know, it is [a] different mindset in these times in which we all have a lot of stress. We are occupied with our work and so on. This is something very different. It is nice to discover there is a perfect harmony between the dancers, and the choreography is very beautiful. I think it takes a lot of training," Ms. Ayat said.
In the audience were Ms. Loopmans and Mr. van Linden from Kapelle, who own and run their own business. Ms. Loopmans said, "Very nice. I like it very much. This is the first time I've seen a show like this. It is very nice. We go every year on vacation to Asia, so we like Asia very much.
Ms. Loopmans said she enjoyed the show, "because it is very relaxing. It gives you a relaxed feeling. It is peaceful." Ms. Loopmans added that she enjoyed everything about the show. "Everything. The music and the dance, it makes it complete with the colors."
Mr. van Linden came for the music. "I am a DJ on the weekend. They put a lot of emotion in the music. It is good." He said that this groundbreaking music combines the best of Western and Eastern compositions performed by award-winning musicians, vocalists and composers.
"It is complete. It completes everything," Mr. van Linden said. "It is super professional." Ms. Loopmans added: "Sometimes you think it is not real. ... like the violin [erhu]. It is so .... smooth. So harmonious. Professional people. And they also seem relaxed! It is very nice."
In discussing the show's exposure of the Chinese government's persecution of the ancient spiritual practice in China, Falun Gong, Mr. van Linden was aware of the abysmal human rights transgressions taking place in communist China. "I understand what they are performing. I understand why the people don't want to stay there. Given the current situation there, I understand."
