(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of March 13, 2009, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company staged its first show in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Many theatergoers involved in the arts and culture praised DPA for its promotion of traditional moral values.

Ms. Chuang Mei-li, director of the Pan Asia Music Publishing Company and the director of the Pan Asia Music Troupe, attended the DPA's premiere in Kaohsiung.
After seeing the show, she said, "Very beautiful! Perfect indeed! This is something most valuable that I got today! Very enjoyable!"
Ms. Chuang has worked tirelessly to promote music education, having taught vocal education for over 40 years. Currently, she is also the president of the Taoyuan County Singer's Association.
"This is a performing arts group that has developed with rigorous training and with dedication. In the show,the arts were combined with belief, history, and culture. This is indeed something that really belongs to our own tradition. Seeing DPA, I recognized my own roots," said Ms. Chuang.
"It is really worthwhile to buy tickets [to this show]. If we had more beautiful things like this in our daily lives, our society would become more harmonious. I believe that after seeing DPA, our lives would be more beautiful."
Director of Symphony Orchestra: It is truly great
Mr. Chu Hong-chang, Director of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, watched the DPA show last year and this year. He said, "I want to say that such programs can touch people's hearts. The performance not only provides great visual or sensory entertainment, but also presents many cultural elements. It is truly great."

Mr. Chu said that the performance moved him. "I am thinking that we are all studying art and music. Music and dance cannot be separated. There were several numbers, such as the one on the persecution of a Falun Gong practitioner, that encouraged people to be kind. The performance touches people's hearts."
He said emotionally, "Each piece has significant content, such as the importance of being kind towards others, and other, similar themes. Sometimes I was very moved. I think many people are impressed."
Director of Hakka Culture Foundation: Touching and influential
Mr. Chong Hsin-fu, Director of the Kaohsiung Hakka Culture Foundation, and his wife attended the show. He said, "The positive side of humanity is illustrated. I really enjoyed it."

Mr. Chong and his wife saw the show for the first time. They selected second row seats near the stage to get a good view. Mr. Chong noted that the individual performances touched on modern society, historical stories, and belief.
Mr. Chong was moved by the DPA's effort to promote Chinese culture. "The DPA show presents belief in Buddha and the divine, inspiring the positive side of humanity. It is instrumental in influencing and elevating humanity."
His wife, Li Mei-ching, said, "The dancers' bodies and gestures were soft, like they were flying. The show has significance for education and in influencing humanity. It can change bad people to good. Very moving."
Ms. Li said she was especially impressed with the dance, "Heaven Awaits Us despite Persecution." "The Divine brought the good person to heaven after he was tortured to death. It was very moving and educational. It reminds us that we will be rewarded if we do good deeds. The entire show left me feeling that God created myriad things."

Mr. Shi Liang-da, in charge of a multimedia company, was so impressed with the DPA show that he was almost at a loss for words. He said, "I saw a perfect combination of multimedia and stage presence in this show, which one hardly ever sees in other shows. Seeing the combination of dance, music and stage, he said, "I am touched and at a loss for words."
He remarked, "Many traditional stories we know very well are presented through dance, which gives the stories a new life."
Mr. Shi specially mentioned two stories that impressed him, "The Monkey King Triumphs" and "Mulan Joins the Battle." "It is rare to see these stories presented in dance form. There is a big difference from the last stage performance I saw. The DPA dancers have very good performance skills."
He continued, "I think DPA spent a lot of effort in designing its multimedia images, such as the mountain collapsing in 'Monk Ji Gong Abducts Bride' and the descending of many deities to the human world. The choreography is very vivid and touching."
Mr. Shi said he was inspired in his multimedia profession after seeing the show. He said, "I tried a combination of stage and multimedia earlier, but was not able to make it as vivid as today's show. I think it is one of my future goals."

Ms. Huang Yu-chen, director of creative art design, said after watching the show with her friends, "Divine Performing Arts presents Chinese culture and the passing down of Buddha's law. I was very moved."
Ms. Huang said it was the first time she had ever Chinese dances, and she enjoyed them very much.
She said, "The dance, 'Flowing Sleeves' showed the ancient costumes, which made me feel a if I were in a deity's world. The wide sleeves of the Han and Tang dynasties are dignified and generous. It was wonderful. The costume design and the dancing showed us the beauty of Chinese traditions. It is great."
