Ms. Lin said, "The success of this show lies in its creating new arts based on a solid familiarity with traditional arts. The way they achieve success should be learned and followed by other Chinese artists."
Ms. Lin also praised the high-tech background design, because it helped artists go beyond the limits of traditional stage design and better portray the stories.
She said, "There are three levels in dance: skillful, beautiful, and appealing. The skill level is easy for professional dancers to reach. Whether an actor can express his heart through the language of dance is the most important and what truly touches people. The actors in Shen Yun Performing Arts expressed their spirits very well. They demonstrated solid belief in the anti-persecution program and moved the audience to tears."
It was the first time that Ms. Lin had seen Shen Yun show. She liked the costumes and colors in the show, which to her, manifested the gorgeous culture of the Tang Dynasty. She said, "Shen Yun is not just a performing arts company. To me, it is a model for all artists. The show is a feast for body, mind and spirit."
