(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) turned forced labor camps into centers for persecuting Falun Gong, a number of police officers and guards at Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province actively took part in the persecution, committing serious crimes against practitioners. Many have since suffered karmic retribution as a result of their actions.
Officer Liu Wenguo dies of cancer
Police officer Liu Wenguo, in his thirties, unscrupulously began assisting with the persecution of practitioners. He did not stop until he was transferred from Ward Two. He died of cancer in March 2009.
Liu engaged in depriving practitioners of sleep for prolonged periods of time, not allowing them to use the restroom, and forcing them to sit on narrow benches or stand in a military stance all day. He also incited other inmates to beat practitioners. Since the persecution began, there have been several practitioners tortured to death in Ward Two (later renamed Ward Four in 2002).
Inmate describes karmic retribution
Before Officer Tang Guofang of the Forced Labor Bureau of Jiangsu Province came to Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp to check and approve the "success" of practitioners' "transformation" in December 2008, camp officials gathered all steadfast practitioners to the "recovery building" to persecuted them. A camp inmate Yan Ping, under the coercion of police officers, hit practitioners violently, and verbally abused them constantly.
About ten days after the incident, Yang Ping developed heart problems and pneumonia. He had originally been very healthy, but he became very sick only ten days after he was utilized by the CCP to persecute practitioners, paying a high price for what he had done. Later he recognized that it was sinful to persecute practitioners and realized that he had been deceived by the police. He told the police that his heart felt pain every time he hit the practitioners. In the end, the harder he hit, the worse his own body felt and he just could not stand it.
