(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts once again graced the stage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium giving the final performance of its 2009 Spring Tour in Pasadena on Sunday May 10. Audience members who packed the sold-out theater were captivated.
Among the theatergoers, were Mr. Friedberg, a documentary film maker, and his wife Mrs. Friedberg, a film producer and editor. Together they own a film production company.

Mrs. Friedberg said, "Wonderful, absolutely delightful and enchanting. I love the spiritual message, [it's] powerful. It's wonderful to see it!"
Reflecting on Shen Yun's unique blend of classical Chinese and Western instruments, she said, "I love the orchestra; violins, traditional western instruments playing oriental sounding music. I found that very exciting."
Mr. Friedburg agreed with his wife adding, "A delight in color, movement, and wonderful music. I think the show is fantastic. It has a wonderful message. The energy of it ... it's wonderful from the onset."
Mr. Friedberg said seeing the show deepened his understanding, "The message of this show--the idea of 'the way,' the whole idea of reincarnation and life, I believe that myself. So it is nice to know there is a universal spirit and universal thinking."
As a film maker, Mr. Friedberg admired the symbolism in the performances. Referring to the pieces that show the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, he said, "I thought it was very subtle and very well done and very relevant. I thought that was great."
Designer and Sculptor: "Wonderful! Tremendous Energy"
One of the many enthusiastic viewers of the show was Ken, a designer and sculptor. He said, "It's wonderful, it's got a tremendous amount of energy."

He said he appreciated dance because of his daughter's professional involvement and remarked that the show had a very high amount of commitment and quality, and that he could see the performers worked very hard to achieve such a very high-caliber performance.
He said, "I really like the backdrop. It's animated so there are lots of things happening. It's part of the actual media of the show, rather than something still, and it's great. I enjoyed the show very much, its got a lot of energy and anybody, from young children to older people will enjoy it."
Hollywood Set Painter: "Love It! Excellent"
Mr. Piwowski, a set-painting specialist, was among the many appreciative theatergoers. He first began painting with his father 30 years ago, and now works for a major Hollywood studio, painting sets for television and movies. "Love it. Excellent!" exclaimed Mr. Piwowski.
The state-of-the-art digital 3D backdrop is something Mr. Piwowski enjoyed. "It is great. The way the people come down [from the sky], that's very unique. Very well done."
Apparel has always been an essential part of China's divinely-bestowed culture, and Shen Yun brings this heritage to life on stage. Mr. Piwowski commented on the brilliant colors of the costumes saying they were "very vibrant."
"It's In My Heart"
Ms. Herrera, a martial artist, originally from Hawaii
She was impressed, "I have a lot of appreciation for the precision and just the timing of everything, it's so beautiful! It's amazing how they really put the workmanship together, to put ... their power together. I'm feeling it, just being there. ... I know what it takes and the work, the hard work to be able to work together, dance together."
Ms. Herrera was also bedazzled by the costumes saying, "Colorful! Colorful costumes, that's something I enjoyed very much."
She found the show to be a total cultural experience, describing it as educational as well as entertaining. "It gave me more perspectives of what Chinese dancing is all about, ... the performance, the songs, that was just relating to it, it was really just- - It's in my heart!"
Ms. Milnaeo, a retired party coordinator originally from England, said she had previously created big parties and big fashion shows.
Ms. Milnaeo said enthusiastically that she loved the show. "The clothes were just ... the design, unbelievable! Everything. I was just mesmerized by it. I've always liked the [Chinese] culture, that's why I came. They're more peaceful, they go back a long way ... so there's a lot more culture with them ... and just the way they are family oriented, everything, I loved it."
