(Clearwisdom.net) To celebrate World Falun Dafa Day in Malaysia, the Singapore Falun Dafa Divine Land Marching Band set out to go to Malaysia early in the morning on May 9, 2009. It took ten hours to travel from Singapore to Ipoh in northern Malaysia by bus, and the Singapore practitioners met with the Malaysia practitioners that evening.
The Singapore Divine Land Marching Band performed at one of the rest areas along the highway to Malaysia.
On the highway from Singapore to Ipoh, there was a rest area every two hours for travelers to eat and rest. The Singapore Divine Land Marching Band gave live performances at each rest area. In those remote towns in the mountains, some residents had never heard of Falun Dafa. The performance of the waist drum team and the music from the marching band won cheers and applause. Some staff workers of the rest area provided the practitioners with cool drinks to thank them for performing in the hot weather.
Many people who had never heard of Falun Gong learned about the persecution in China and the facts behind the persecution. They learned that Falun Dafa had spread to 114 countries and regions around the world. Some of them wanted to learn Falun Dafa after reading the fliers.
The next morning on May 10, the Divine Land Marching Band from both Singapore and Malaysia performed on the square in front of the Ipoh City Hall. They played songs including "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Fa Drums and Fa Trumpets Shake the World in Ten Directions," "The Fa Rectifies the Universe," "Delivering the Treasure," and "Ode to Joy." Residents from Ipoh were able to appreciate the majestic music of the band.
In the afternoon, the two bands went to scenic Tianping Lake and performed. Around the lake is a small town. Most of the residents are Chinese. The Divine Land Marching Band performed next to the lake. The blue sky and lake plus the bright sunshine and soft clouds heightened the beauty of the performance.
