"And the dancers and all the actors--they are very, very good. I will recommend this to a lot of people. And I'm glad you're going all over the world, because you have to spread the message that compassion, peace, and love is what will change the world," said Mr. Petrilli.
He added, "The singers have beautiful voices. ... The voices were beautiful, the instruments were really, really beautiful."
He was also impressed by the orchestra, "The orchestration was excellent. Very sweet and inspired, the feelings, it's like being in a different place and atmosphere, that feeds your soul."
Actor Thoroughly Impressed by Shen Yun: "I really, really appreciate it"
Mr. Paul, a professional actor, thoroughly enjoyed seeing traditional Chinese culture told through story-based Chinese classical dance. "I love it. It is very bright, very colorful. It's epic. I like it a lot. The costumes are bright. They capture the eye very easily. The dancers [have] much strength ... I like that. The backdrop ... is amazing. Mr. Paul added, "I was trained in the theater. That's where I got my foundation, so this is a very classic piece, and I like it a lot. It brings me back to when I acted a lot on stage. Seeing the emotion in the people in each number impresses me. I love that. I'm very spiritual myself, and I'm glad they included deities in this."
"It was a bold impression. So often in the world today, we don't see that. We don't see that divine deity placed in things like this. I was thoroughly impressed when I realized that they included God and things like deities into it. I really, really appreciate that."
