(Clearwisdom.net) On March 10, 2009, practitioner Ms. Yang Junlin from Shalin Village, Yang Town, Shunyi District, Beijing, was arrested by police. She was tortured and is now in critical condition.
On the day of her arrest, five police officers, along with 610 Office agents from Shunyi District, broke into Ms. Yang's home. Ms. Yang was babysitting for her neighbor when she received the request to come home. When she entered her home, police asked her, "Do you still practice Falun Gong?" She answered " Yes." The police didn't show any warrants and began ransacking her home, leaving it a shambles.
After that, the police took Ms. Yang to the Shunyi District Nihe Forced Labor Camp. Most of the local practitioners are kept in the brainwashing center inside this forced labor camp. Guards there struck and cursed at Ms. Yang. They repeatedly used electric batons on her, until she could neither talk nor walk.
A doctor at this forced labor camp noticed her condition and labeled her in critical condition. She was sent to Shunyi Hospital. The doctors examined her and stated, "Her heart rate is too fast, her blood pressure is as high as 180; we are incapable of treating her." The guards then sent her to Yangzhen Police Station and informed Ms. Yang's family to pick her up. They told her husband, "It's a critical time right now. China is holding an important political meeting in Beijing. We are required to persecute one Falun Gong practitioner a day to fill our quota."
Several days later, police escorted the head of Village Security on a visit to Ms. Yang's home. They wanted to know if she had recovered, because if she had, they wanted to arrest her and detain her again, because they still needed one practitioner to fill their quota. Her family said that she was unable to eat anything. They did not allow the police to enter their home.
Now the gate to Ms. Yang Junlin's home is locked every day. All of her family have stopped working. Every second of their day is devoted to taking care of her. Her entire family lives in a constant state of fear.
