(Clearwisdom.net) Master recently wrote the article, "Greetings" (To the Dafa disciples attending the Canada Fa Conference ) on May 17, 2009. Several fellow practitioners felt that Master was addressing us directly, so I would like to share our understanding of the article. Please point out anything that is improper.
In the area where we live, we had not encountered any problems when clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. The handling and distribution of Falun Gong materials was easy, because when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) made a move against practitioners, some sympathetic police officers would let us know beforehand. All practitioners felt that our righteous thoughts were sufficient to suppress the evil. However, towards the end of last year, more than ten practitioners were arrested within a month. Several local coordinators were among them. Our distribution of Falun Gong materials was halted by CCP officials. Many practitioners were taken by surprise; some became frightened and no longer wanted to distribute truth-clarification materials. The Fa study groups were dissolved, as practitioners thought they might be reported by undercover police. The real reason for this occurrence, however, remained known.
While we were deciding what to do, Master's article was published. We studied it and found that the real reason for all of this interference was because our way of validating the Fa was not satisfactory, and strong righteous thoughts are lacking. We did not do as Master said in "Greetings", "Walk the last steps of your path well and with determination, study the Fa well." We had a relatively comfortable environment and lost our focus in studying the Fa well. As a result, we had many attachments, which led to the arrests.
Master was telling us that although, "The evil is finished and the environment has changed", we still need to study the Fa well, improve our xinxing and save sentient beings.
