(Clearwisdom.net) I had deep feelings after reading the article "The Defendant? The Plaintiff!" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2009/5/5/107066.html).
It has been almost ten years since the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese communist regime began. It has caused the deaths of at least 3,258 Falun Gong practitioners, and tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been sent to forced labor camps or illegally sentenced to imprisonment. Then who are the criminals? Who should be the defendants? Who are the plaintiffs? It is time that we ponder deeply these questions.
When I was sharing with a fellow practitioner, she told me about an incident which helped me enlighten to an issue at my level of cultivation, and that is the issue of keeping righteous thoughts and believing in Master and the Fa. To put it simply, it is an issue of being a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple in an open and dignified manner.
The fellow practitioner told me that one day three policemen from the Domestic Security Division (section head A, deputy head B and policeman C) came to her home. When they arrived, the fellow practitioner was sitting on the bed. They had the following conversation:
Practitioner: So, the criminals have come.
Police (surprised): What did you say?
The practitioner repeated slowly, emphasizing each word: "The criminals-have-come. You are criminals."
Police: Why are we criminals?
Practitioner: You have trampled the Constitution, which clearly stipulates, "Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy the freedom of belief." Your job is to enforce the law, and yet you totally ignore the laws and do all kinds of things. It's you (pointing to section head A) who have led them to do these [unlawful things]. Three lives have been taken away by you and many people have been crippled at your hands. [Pointing to heaven] What you have done will not be tolerated by the heavenly principles and is also punishable by human principles and state law. It is only a matter of time before you are convicted.
The officers all looked downcast upon hearing this. Section head A said to the practitioner, "Get off the bed and stand up."
The practitioner called her family members and said, "He asked me to get off the bed. If anything happens to me, he should be held accountable." (The practitioner had become crippled due to the persecution) She easily removed a handful of hair from her head and said, "This is evidence of how you tortured me."
Section head A immediately said, "In that case, you'd better stay where you are." He then said, "I'll go out to make a phone call," and quickly left.
The practitioner then said to policeman C, "You were a very kind boy when you were little. Now you have become like this and do such things [persecuting Dafa practitioners]."
Policeman C: Should I stop doing this?
Practitioner: That is a choice you need to make yourself. It depends on whether you want to live or not.
Deputy section head: Say something about me. Am I a good person or a bad person?
Practitioner: I won't say anything about you. When you do things, honestly measure them against your conscience, and then you will know whether you are a good person or bad person.
At that point, the police wanted to leave. The practitioner said, "You can't leave just yet! I still have things to tell you, and I have not quite finished." The police said they would talk more when they had time, and they left. They never dared to return to the practitioner's home again.
After I listened to the practitioner, I remembered that I didn't regard myself properly during the few times when I was persecuted, and I viewed the persecution as something between human beings. By doing this I had acknowledged it, and therefore helplessly put myself into a position to be arrested. I belittled myself and enlarged the evil. In short, it meant that I had acknowledged that my Dafa work and cultivation was unlawful. This was totally wrong.
I would like to share my understanding about a fundamental issue in this respect. Please kindly point out anything improper.
1. From the view point of the Fa's principles, the universe is experiencing Fa-rectification. Master is rectifying the cosmos and we are Dafa disciples assisting Master. When we do things according to Dafa, what we are doing are the most righteous things. Master has frequently pointed out,
"The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston")
2. What Dafa disciples are doing is also righteous from the standpoint of ordinary human principles. We tell people about the benefits of Falun Dafa, we tell people how the police have persecuted Dafa disciples and the means they have used in the persecution, we tell people about practitioners who have died and become crippled as a result of the persecution, we tell them about those who have been unlawfully incarcerated, and so on. All these things are facts. Also when we tell people about these things, what's most important is that we are actually clearing out the lies that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has instilled into people's minds. When people know the facts and their hostile thoughts against Dafa are eliminated, they can be saved. It is inevitable that heaven will eliminate the CCP, and when we persuade people to quit the CCP, we are actually trying to save sentient beings so that they will not be eliminated alongside the CCP. This is a good thing to do to save lives. It is most righteous.
3. From a legal standpoint, nothing has ever been stipulated in explicit terms saying that practicing Falun Gong in China is illegal. For years, the laws used in the whole judiciary system to persecute Falun Gong has held no legal ground, and the law enforcers themselves have been violating the law. Under the Constitution, the law enforcers have committed the following crimes:
-
Forced brainwashing -Violating Article No. 251 of Criminal Law against "deprivation of freedom of belief"
-
Abuse and beating - Violating Article No. 246 of Criminal Law against "violence and humiliation"
-
Heavy fines - Violating Article No. 239 of Criminal Law against "extortion"
-
Unlawful forced labor - Violating Article No. 238 of Criminal Law against "unlawful detention"
-
Unlawful search and ransacking homes - Violating Article No. 245 and 267 of Criminal Law against "unlawful search and search of residence"
-
Vicious beating, causing injury, disability and death - Violating Article 234 of Criminal Law against "intentional injuries"
-
Unlawful charge and sentence - Violating Article No. 243 of Criminal Law against "false accusation"
-
Torture - Violating Article No. 248 of Criminal Law against "beating and corporal punishment"
-
Beating to death and organ harvesting - Violating Article No. 232 of Criminal Law against "intentional murder and homicide"
Accordingly, the police, the Procuratorate Office and courts, along with the personnel involved are the real criminals and they should be brought to court as defendants and punished by law. The detention notices, arrest warrants, notices for forced labor, and judgments and release notices will serve as evidence against them when they are placed on trial. They will not escape the final trial for justice. The day is surely coming.
