(Clearwisdom.net) On July 17, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland came to the Chinese Embassy to protest the Chinese Communist regime's 10-year of persecution against Falun Gong and to call for an end to the persecution.
Practitioners in Finland protest at the Chinese Embassy the Chinese Communist regime's 10-year persecution against Falun Gong.
Falun Gong practitioners held banners that read "Falun Dafa Is Good", "Stop the 10-Year Persecution of Falun Gong", "Heaven Will Eliminate the CCP. Quit the CCP for a Safe Future" and others. Many people who came to the Chinese Embassy for visas happily accepted leaflets from practitioners.
Finnish practitioner Anna said that on July 20, 1999, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party Jiang Zemin, colluding with the CCP, initiated the brutal persecution against one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners. In its ten years of persecution, more than three thousand Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death. The CCP regime even harvested vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for lucrative profits. But faced with all these atrocities, Falun Gong practitioners have always been peaceful and rational in their efforts to protest the persecution. Anna hoped that people around the world would be concerned with the persecution and help to end it.
Falun Gong practitioner Lan Lihua narrated her own personal sufferings in the persecution. She was illegally detained three times and was tortured with the tiger bench, hanging and other methods. She personally witnessed fellow practitioners beaten to death. She said: "The persecution suffered by every Falun Gong practitioner could be written into a book. Every day some practitioners are arrested. People thought that China is improving its human rights. In reality, there is no change."
Liu Yumei used to suffer rheumatism and other serious illnesses. She had to take many medicines every day. Because of practising Falun Gong, she has a new life without illness. Since the Chinese Communist regime started the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, she was kidnapped nine times and was tortured to the brink of death four times. She sincerely hoped that Chinese people would learn the facts and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. She also appealed to the whole world to help stop the persecution.
Since the beginning of 2006 when the CCP's atrocity of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland have been protesting at the Chinese Embassy every day regardless of rain, wind, intense summer heat or freezing winter cold. Many Chinese people learned the facts about Falun Gong here and quit the CCP. More Finnish people and tourists from other countries learned about the evil nature of the CCP before they visit China. Once a reporter of a Finnish media outlet who came to interview practitioners at the Chinese Embassy asked: "When are you going to end your protest?" Practitioners replied: "Not until the day the persecution stops."
Background
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline for mind and body. The practice involves slow, gentle movements and meditation. It is easy to learn, enjoyable to practice, and free of charge. Its principles are based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practice began in China in 1992 and quickly spread by word of mouth throughout China and then beyond. Its beneficial effects in uplifting an individual's physical health, spiritual well-being and moral character, not to mention its positive influence in the community and society as a whole, have been undeniable. In fact, Falun Gong is practiced by over 100 million people in 110 countries. The main works of Falun Gong are available in over 30 languages.
On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Since the start of the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners throughout the world have been constantly speaking out about the truth of Falun Gong and exposing the CCP's crimes in a tireless effort to end the persecution.
