(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted Dafa practitioners in Hulin City, Jixi, Heilongjiang Province, for their belief on a long-term basis. The following accounts are just a few examples of the persecution experienced by women Dafa practitioners.
Chen Xiuling
Ms. Chen started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. On December 31, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate the Fa in Tiananmen Square and was arrested by the Fangshan District Police. On January 3, 2001, she was sent to a prison in Beijing. By January 8, she was on the brink of death, so the guards put her on a bus home.
Xia Shuzhi
Ms. Xia started to practice Falun Gong in August 1998. On December 26, 2000, she planned to go to Beijing to validate the Fa at Tiananmen Square. Police discovered her when the train stopped at Shuangcheng Station. Officer Zhao Jie from Hulin First Police Station brought her back to Hulin on December 30. She was held at the Hulin Detention Center. Zhang Zhongsheng and other policemen mistreated her. They extorted 5000 yuan from her family. So far they have only returned 2000 of it.
Luan Shouhong
Ms. Luan started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. After July 20, 1999, the police often went to her home to harass her. In the afternoon on June 5, 2007, Sun Baodong, Director of Hulin First Police Station, and two officers broke into her home and confiscated her personal property, including a tape recorder. They took her to the police station and tried to extort 5000 yuan from her. She refused to cooperate. She was not released until after she had been detained for six hours. Police later came and tried to take photos of her and tried to fine her. They kept harassing her.
Li Xiulan
Li Xiulan was born in August 1957. She started to practice Falun Gong in March 1998. On December 26, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested by plainclothes police in Tiananmen Square. She was detained at the Beijing Liaison Office of the Jixi Police Department. On January 10, 2001, policemen Zhang Zhongsheng and Jiang Feng brought her back to Hulin and detained her in the Hulin Detention Center for three months. She was not released until her family paid 5000 yuan. They were also forced to pay 800 yuan for her meal expenses in the detention center on March 30, 2001.
On April 7, 2001, policeman Zhang Zhongsheng broke into Ms. Li 's home and arrested her. She was detained at the Hulin Detention Center for fifteen days because she signed her name on the indictment to sue Jiang Zemin.
Rong Xiulan
Ms. Rong Xiulan was born on June 12, 1942. She started to practice Falun Gong at the beginning of 1998. At 4 p.m on December 27, 2000, officer Zhao Jie from Hulin First Police Station and four other policemen broke into her home. Later, at least twenty officers came to search her home. They arrested her and her daughter,r Wang Binghua. She was not released until police extorted 6000 yuan from her family on March 30, 2001. On the morning of April 5, 2001, policeman Zhang Zhongsheng broke into her home to harass her again because of the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.
While she was in the Hulin Detention Center, the police often went to threaten Ms. Rong's husband and her three-year-old granddaughter who would hold grandfather tightly and cry when she saw the police. During those three or four days when the police were searching their house, three policemen and a journalist secretly videotaped her home despite her husband's protests. The police brought the video to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center to show her daughter, Wang Binghua.
Wang Binghua
Ms. Wang Binghua was born on December 26, 1968. She started to practice Falun Gong in November 1997. At 4 p.m. on December 27, 2000, officer Zhao Jie from Hulin First Police Station and four other policemen broke into her home, and at least twenty came later to join the search. They arrested her and her mother and detained them at Hulin Detention Center. They tried to force her and other Dafa practitioners to give up their belief. On March 26, 2001, she was transferred to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center, where she was persecuted for ten months. On December 1, 2002, Ms. Wang went to the Hulin First Police Station to ask for the return of her personal belongings. Instead, they detained her there for another three and a half months. On March 19, 2003, she was transferred to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center and detained there for two years. Then her sentence was extended for another two months. She was not released until January 2005.
Li Yuefeng
Ms. Li Yuefeng was born on September 23, 1953. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. She went to Beijing to validate the Fa on December 26, 2000. On December 30, 2000, plainclothes police in Tiananmen Square arrested her and detained and interrogated her for a whole night at a police station. On January 1, 2001, she was taken to a prison and held there overnight. The next day she was transferred to the Beijing Liaison Office of Jixi City and held for eight days. Police confiscated 1300 yuan from her. On January 10, 2001, policeman Zhang Zhongsheng brought her back to Hulin. The next day she was taken to Hulin Detention Center and held there for three months. She was not released until the police had extorted 5000 yuan--and another 800 yuan for meal expenses--from her family. They also fingerprinted her. In April 2001, policemen Zhang Zhongsheng, Zhao Jie, and others broke into her home to harass her. At 7 a.m. on April 6, 2003, Zhang Zhongsheng and other officers arrested her again because she signed her name on the indictment to sue Jiang Zemin. She was sent to Hulin Detention Center for fifteen days. She was not released until her family handed over 300 yuan on April 20, 2003.
Ren Yongqin
Ms. Ren Yongqin started to practice Falun Gong in May 1998. On December 26, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate the Fa. Police found her when the train stopped at Shuangcheng City and forced her off the train. On December 30, policeman Zhao Jie brought her back to Hulin and detained her at the Hulin Detention Center. They put her through brainwashing sessions and tried to force her to give up her belief. She was not released until her family handed over 5000 yuan and paid the meal expenses to Hulin Detention Center. Her children have asked for all the money to be returned.
Ren Aizhi
Ms. Ren Aizhi started to practice Falun Gong in February 1997. Previously in very poor health, she recovered completely after she obtained the Fa. On December 26, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate the Fa. Police arrested her and detained her in a police station near Tiananmen Square. Soon she was sent to the Miyun Detention Center where she refused to answer any questions from the police. She was sworn at and beaten. At dawn the next day she was taken to the Yi County Detention Center at Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. She went on a hunger strike with other Dafa practitioners. She was then sent to the Yi County Hospital to be given a so-called "medical examination" where she was under surveillance and interrogated by police 24 hours a day. In January 2001, the political instructor from the Hulin First Police Station and He Yujun from her work unit brought her back and sent her to the Hulin Detention Center. Police extorted 3000 yuan from her family. During her three months' detention in Hulin Detention Center, the police put her through brainwashing sessions every day and tried to force her to give up her belief. She was not released until the Hulin First Police Station had extorted 5000 yuan from her family and Hulin Detention Center had been paid her meal expenses. Her family members repeatedly went back to the police station to ask for the money back. So far they have only received 3000 yuan.
