(Clearwisdom.net) For quite a while, I have been feeling interference in all aspects of my cultivation. Facing the hardships, I asked myself, "Why everything is going wrong?" Many arguments arose among our local practitioners. I felt that the interference from inside was even greater than that from external factors. I often thought of just leaving the area. In addition, I was depressed and felt helpless. I studied the Fa more in hopes that that would solve the problem. Gradually I realized that, subconsciously, I was seeking outward when I encountered hardships: I complained about my children, my family, my fellow practitioners, spies, etc. All those disgruntled feelings, in turn, were destroying me. I realized the serious consequences of these thoughts. Under any circumstances, don't practitioners need righteous thoughts? When we allow ourselves to be controlled by deviant factors, how can we possibly resist them? How can we reach the goal of becoming a God without letting go of those thought? Isn't that something we ourselves decide?
Teacher said in "Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference," "The environment is shaped by your human attachments. When the environment is bad, it is because you made it that way."
I came to understand that a poor environment is caused by our human attachments. In other words, the environment is bad because we make it that way. Most of the time we just think about our own hardships. Measured by the Fa, I feel that I cannot look inside unconditionally. When I thought that I was seeing the situation from the standpoint of Fa and vented my anger, wasn't I intentionally acting against the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance? I asked myself, "Don't I ever have any complaints or attachments?" Aren't we cultivating ourselves in our cultivation path? When we look at others, and see what is wrong with them, is this our yardstick for cultivation? Isn't that a human principle? It is far away from the Way.
Gods are watching everything we do. Can anything happen by accident? No one can interfere with us unless we ask for it. In other words, when we let go our attachments and are a true practitioner with righteous thoughts, Teacher can decide anything for us.
