(Clearwisdom.net) On October 14, 2007, over thirty officers from the Domestic Security Division and armed police led by Yang Shaoliang broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Gao Guangchong's home in the Sixth Group, Jiubang Village, Guoyuan Township. The police confiscated a satellite dish, television, and Falun Gong books. Mr. Gao was arrested and detained again, marking the eleventh time that he has been arrested since the persecution of Falun Gong began.
On March 28, 2008, the Huili County Procuratorate and court held a trial for Mr. Gao Guangchong, who was detained for five months and tortured to the point that it was difficult for him to stand. The trial ended hastily after Mr. Gao defended himself with sound reasoning. Later, the presiding judge Qiu Yun secretly sentenced him to three years, and Mr. Gao was sent to the Wumaping Prison for further persecution.
Currently Mr. Gao's entire body is swollen from torture, and he has been hospitalized in critical condition. His children went to Wumaping Prison, saw the condition he was in, and requested that the prison release him. The prison agreed to release Mr. Gao, but they required paperwork from the Huili County Domestic Security Division. It has been over a week since Mr. Gao's children returned to Huili County to complete the paperwork with the Domestic Security Division and faxed them to the prison. They have yet to hear from the prison.
After the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, Mr. Gao Guangchong was placed in leg irons and handcuffs, and was subjected to force-feeding. He was arrested eleven times, sent to labor camp, and forced to leave home to avoid further persecution twice. His home was ransacked numerous times, as well.
