(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
The following are three instances of karmic retribution to officials who engaged in persecuting Falun Gong.
Policeman Who Persecuted Practitioners Killed In a Car Accident
Li Guo'an, in his mid-40s, worked at the Qianxi County Police Department in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. After July 20, 1999, following orders from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) he started persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
When he was interrogating and beating practitioners, out of benevolence they would say to him, "Bad deeds will be met with retribution. Don't follow the CCP's orders." However, he did not listen. On the contrary, he grinned and cursed the founder of Falun Gong and practitioners. One evening in 2007, Li Guo'an was struck and killed by a beer transport truck while he was taking a walk with his wife after dinner.
The author would like to warn all those who have participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, "It is a universal law that good is rewarded and evildoers are punished. Don't think it is accidental that something bad happens. Also, don't think you can get away with evil deeds and nobody will know what you did. There is a saying, 'Whatever human beings are doing, the heavens are watching.' For the benefit of yourself and your family, you should choose a path of hope that has a future."
Li Xianpeng, Deputy Head of Shuangqiao Town, Shou County, Anhui Province, Has a Stroke
Recently, due to his active participation in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, Li Xianpeng suffered a stroke while at work and after a recent promotion. The medical record of his stroke was sealed at the hospital as the authorities feared that more people would learn about it. Although still in his 30s, Li has paid a price for following the CCP's orders. It is a tragedy that practitioners do not want to see.
The author hopes that officials of Shou County who are still persecuting practitioners will immediately stop and make up for their wrongdoings by helping to secretly collect evidence about how the persecution is carried out. Don't wait until it is too late and regret wasting this opportunity.

Liu Yuanming, Former Police Chief of Xiajiadian Town Police Station, Dehui City, Jilin Province, Is Struggling for His Life
After July 20, 1999, Liu Yuanming closely followed Jiang's regime and played a major role in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He arrested practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, ransacked their homes, extorted money and personal belongings from them, detained them, sentenced them to forced labor terms, interrogated them using torture, damaged Falun Gong books and cassette tapes, and coerced practitioners to curse their Teacher. He is currently suffering bone necrosis in both legs and has to use a walker to get around. His hair has turned totally white, and he is struggling for his life.
