(Clearwisdom.net) In September 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Xiuying went back to her hometown in Zixing City, Hunan Province. On September 15, she was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials and was arrested by the Zixing 610 Office and State Security. On the September 16 at noon, the police took her to Hejiatang Village, Pingshi Township, Zixing City, so that her family and local people would recognize her. In order to not get anyone else involved, Ms. Li pretended that she didn't know them, and the villagers also pretended that they didn't know her. This was why none of them knew where Ms. Li was taken. Later, after much searching by her family, they found out that on September 29, 2010, the Zixing 610 Office had secretly sentenced her to a three-year term and put her Zhuzhou City Forced Labor Camp, in Hunan Province. She was later taken away by police from Chongqing City State Security. Her current situation is unknown.
Ms. Li's elderly mother (Wang Zhengzhen, 85) is still at home and in need of care. Ms. Li's only child is 28 years old and single.
Ms. Li took Master Li Hongzhi's Falun Dafa classes in Guangzhou City in 1994. Before that time, her health was very bad, and she had been through so many misfortunes in her life that she had even considered suicide. After starting Falun Dafa cultivation practice, she followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and experienced many positive changes, both physical and mental. She was thus able to leave behind that dark period in her life.
After July 1999, when the Communist regime began the persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Li went to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong. All she wanted to do was to share her personal experiences which showed the miraculous beauty of Falun Gong. However, she was persecuted many times by Communist regime personnel and has been involved in many dangerous situations.
In January 2002, just after Ms. Li was released from months in a forced labor camp where she was badly beaten, held in small cells, and handcuffed for long periods of time, she was again sentenced, to a four-year term. She was held in Yongchuan Women's Jail. She was tortured so badly in jail that she was in critical condition. In August 2004, the jail agreed to release her on medical parole and seve the rest of her sentence outside the jail.
In October 2005, Ms. Li was having tea with five other Falun Gong practitioners in a garden near Daojiao. They were all arrested for no reason. She was later secretly sentenced to three years in prison by the Communist court. She was held in Yongchuan Women's Jail, and tortured brutally. Her neck, wrists, and entire body showed signs of severe lymphoma. She was very skinny and her stomach was swollen with ascites. Her appearance had completely changed. After her family made repeated requests, the jail finally agreed to release her on medical parole.
When she got home, she firmly insisted on studying the Fa and doing the exercises. She did not go to the hospital and did not take any drugs or injections. With Falun Dafa's miraculous power, she regained her health very quickly. She is deeply thankful to Falun Dafa for giving her another life.
