(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Cai Guijiao began to practice Falun Gong in 1998. During the over 10-year-long persecution, like tens of thousands of other practitioners, she was arrested several times and her home was ransacked. She was even held in a brainwashing center and sentenced to forced labor.
Tortured at a Brainwashing Center
On October 13, 2005, Zeng Jinquan, the Party Secretary; Xu Hong, the head of the Township Political and Judicial Commission; and Duran Deliang, Shen Cheng, and three others from the local police station carried Ms. Cai Guijiao into a police car and escorted her to a brainwashing center operated by the city government.
In the brainwashing center, Ms. Cai was brutally tortured for 60 days. The officials in the camp arranged for two personal cangues to watch her day and night. They forced her to watch video programs that slandered Falun Gong and its founder all the time. They forced her to stand still for a long time. Sometimes they tied her hands and legs and hung her to the frame of a TV set, in an attempt to force her to write the Three Statements guaranteeing not to practice Falun Gong. At the beginning, Ms. Cai refused to write them. The cangues used her as their "toy" and changed the torture methods everyday. One evening, they took her to a very large, dark house, where two lawless police officers were disguised as ghosts and scared her, which nearly caused her to have a nervous breakdown. The evildoers at the brainwashing center beat her as they wished. When she closed her eyes, they forced them open with their hands.
When she was first detained it was still very hot. They tied her hands and legs, stuffed socks into her mouth, and covered her with a quilt. Then a head guard weighing over 90 kilos laid on top of her for three hours. When they removed the quilt, even the quilt was soaked with sweat.
One female guard whipped her with a bamboo stick when she saw Ms. Cai fold her hands. Male guard Zhang kicked Ms. Cai's vital areas as well as her private parts. It was common practice for five or six of them to tie her up and beat her.
One day they did all they could to get Ms. Cai to write the "Three Statements." They said to her, "If you don't want to break with your Teacher, then write that you want to break with the Communist Party." Ms. Cai wrote, "I resolutely break with the Communist Party." At their wits end, they had to admit failure.
In the bitter cold of December, guard Zhang dragged Ms. Cai to an empty room where all the windows and doors were wide open in order to expose her to the northerly wind for two hours. When they failed to "transform" her, they sentenced her to one year of forced labor and took her to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou. Ms. Cai was not allowed to go to the toilet or sleep after she refused to write the "Three Statements." She was forced to stand still for a long time everyday for more than three weeks. Then she was transferred to a strict control ward, where she suffered from all kinds of torture. She was forced to squat day and night. They also used a stool to hit her lower back and seriously injured her. She was mentally disordered as well.
On December 22, 2007, when Ms. Cai Guijiao went to Hubei to visit someone, she was arrested again. She was interrogated for one day and had 3,200 yuan extorted from her.
This 60-year old woman was tortured terrible simply because she refused to give up her belief and wanted to become a healthy person with high moral standards. The CCP has been persecuting Falun Gong for eleven years and it is still ongoing.
