(Clearwisdom.net) A disabled Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Du Liming, from Yitong County, Jilin Province, was arrested on July 11, 2010, at Yidan town, Yitong County by police officer Wang Yingchao and others from the National Security Division in the Yitong County Public Security Bureau, while she was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. She was first detained at the Yitong County Detention Center. Her mentally handicapped child then went missing and his whereabouts are still unknown. On September 10, 2010, under the control of the local 610 Office, the Yitong County Court tried Du Liming and did not allow her family members to attend or participate. Members of Du Liming's family and the attorney she hired were arrested and detained by the police. The attorney was sent back to Beijing by the police so he was not able to defend her.
On the morning of October 19, about 8 o'clock, Du Liming's family members went to the Yitong County Detention Center to visit Du Liming. The first word Du Liming told her family was that she needed to appeal. A family member said, "Your health condition is not good. You should apply for release on bail for medical treatment." Du Liming said, "They will send me to prison soon."
Du Liming's family was a little surprised. They asked Du Liming, "When did you learn this?" She said, "The police told me last night." Then a police officer nearby said, "Yes, we will send her away soon."
Another police officer told Du Liming's family, "You need to persuade her to take a photo. Taking a photo does not affect anything. But she just refused. We need this to follow procedures." Du Liming said, "I do not take photos." Then she turned her face to her family members. The police forced her face back. Du Liming then turned her body away. This went on for a few times. Du Liming said, "If you want to take photos, you have to take a whole body photo." The young police officer said, "We only need the upper body photo, not the lower body." Du Liming said, "Then I won't take any photo." The young police officer had to relent. Du Liming then said, "I have to take off my coat."
Du Liming took off her coat and showed her disabled hands and feet. Her fingers on both hands gathered together and could not open. Her feet pointed to the outside and her body was humpbacked. The young policeman said, "Straighten up!" Ms. Du said, "I am not able to." Then the police officer squatted down, lifted Du's face and prepared to take photos using a digital camera. But the digital camera showed a black screen for the battery was dead. Finally the police officer took a chance while Du Liming talked with her family and took a photo without telling them. Then he dragged Du Liming away.
About ten minutes later, a police vehicle drove out of the detention center and took Du Liming under guard to the Heizuizi Women's Prison in Changchun City.
