(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher has reminded us repeatedly that we must be diligent in studying the Fa. By studying Master's lectures, each time we get a deeper understanding of the universe's principles. My initial understanding tends to be at the surface level. I had this surface-level understanding for a long time while studying the section called "Consecration" in Lecture Five of Zhuan Falun. In the past the main conclusion I drew from this section was that one should not worship statues and icons that have not gone through the procedure of consecration, lest we create pseudo-gods.
Then I began to reflect on what differentiates a pseudo-Buddha from a real one? Most likely it is their thoughts. In Zhuan Falun Teacher says:
"But the mind of the phony Buddha or phony Bodhisattva is extremely bad and is after money. It is born in another dimension. With a mind, it knows a little truth and does not dare to commit major wrongdoing, but it does dare to do minor bad deeds." (Lecture Five)
Why do those pseudo-Buddhas wish to commit wrongdoing? Because of the low-level thoughts of those who worshiped them. The proper thoughts, those focused on true cultivation instead of greed, would have invited the Law Body of a true enlightened being that is able to save people.
Then what about those materials made by Dafa disciples for saving sentient beings--all those fliers, booklets, newspapers, bookmarks, articles, lotus flowers, etc.? All those things were created with righteous thoughts for saving sentient beings. Those thoughts, as I understand from Teacher, land on those objects. That is the true power of all those truth clarification materials made by Dafa disciples. Master told us: "A physical object's form of existence appears like this, but the way it actually manifests is not." ( Lecture Two, Zhuan Falun). It is possible that, what in our dimension manifests as a simple flier, in another dimension may be much more than that.
The above are some understandings I came to after studying the section about consecration. I am sure this is not an all encompassing understanding, and in the future there will be deeper understandings.
Please point out with compassion anything that is not in accordance with the Fa.
