The Chinese authorities have been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners relentlessly in the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for over ten years. Many were severely tortured. Some of them have died, some were driven to insanity, and some became handicapped. Among them are Wang Yunjie (passed away), Wang Yan (passed away), Li Baojie (passed away) Tian Shaoyan (became insane), Huang Guifen (became handicapped), Tian Li (became handicapped), Liu Dianqin (became handicapped), and Zhao Shuyun (became handicapped).
Ms. Tian Shaoyan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Suizhong county of Huludao, over 60 years of age, was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for the second time in May 2008. She was forced to make handicrafts in the camp, and as a result she was poisoned by the glue that she was forced to use under hazardous conditions. This led to her limbs being weak, and walking became difficult. On October 13, 2009, guards said that she was just pretending and required her to work. If she did not work, guards would beat her and grab her hair. Lots of her hair was ripped out this way. Six or seven of her teeth were knocked out. The guards also tortured her with "big hang up", which ultimately left her insane. At present, Tian Shaoyan has dull eyes and cannot speak. She responds only with mumbles. She is emaciated and cannot take care of herself. Guards who participated in persecuting Tian Shaoyan include Ren Huaiping, Wang Shuzheng, Rong Xiue and Ren Hongzan.
Ms. Zhao Shuyun from Tieling is in her 60s. In May 2008, because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, the deputy director of the forced labor camp Zhou Qin and several others beat her. They grabbed her by the hair and slammed her into the wall. She lost consciousness. When she woke up, she realized that her leg was broken and toe fractured, and she could not walk. Guards who participated include Deputy Director Zhou Qin, Zhang Jun, Zhang Zhuohui, Ren Huaiping, Wang Shuzheng, Rong Xiue, and Ren Hongzan.
Ms. Cui Guohua from Yi County of Jinzhou, in her 60s, was brutally beaten because she would not recite the 30 jail rules. The guards tortured her with electric batons and the "big hang up." Guards who participated in persecuting Cui Guohua include Zhang Jun, Zhang Zhuohui, Ren Huaiping, Wang Shuzheng, Rong Xiue, and Ren Hongzan.
What follows is a statement by Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jinfeng, talking about some of what she suffered in Masanjia.
"My name is Wang Jinfeng, 46 years old, living in Fuxin City. On March 5, 2008, for the second time I was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. At that time I was sent to the No. 2 Branch of the No. 3 Division at the fourth building, a place focusing on persecuting Falun Gong.
"First they used brainwashing so that I would agree with the evil Party's lies and be voluntarily 'transformed'. Since I had already been imprisoned from May 2002 to July 2005, they knew that I would not be transformed. On March 9, 2008, which was the fourth day, Deputy Director Zhou Qin led a few police and told me that they would not let me go if I did not renounce my faith in Falun Gong. Zhang Zhuohui (the team leader) said, 'You should recite the 30 items of Code of Conduct of Inmates.' I refused to do that, and guard Zhang Jun slapped my face. I said police should not beat people. Then the police punished me by making me stand facing the wall, and they posted the 30 items of Code of Conduct of Inmates on the wall before me.
"On the fifth day, guards Zhang Zhuohui and Zhang Jun pushed me into a small triangle-shaped room. I struggled and said loudly, 'Falun Dafa is good.' Zhang Jun tightly taped my mouth shut and then asked several police on duty to handcuff one of my hands. Zhang Zhuohui climbed up a metal ladder and attached the other side of the handcuff to it. It was a storage room. Zhang Zhuohui then climbed up one of the shelves and handcuffed my other hand to a heating pipe. Then he kicked away the stool. I did not do as they demanded, so they tied up my feet. My whole body was hanging in mid-air. I could feel sharp pain from both of my sides and arms. The handcuffs cut into my flesh and I could not stop crying out loud. I was forced to copy the so-called 'three guarantee letters' giving up my belief.
"On March 20, 2008, I was sent to the No. 2 Team of the No. 2 Division. At the time, I could not work on anything. Guard You Ran (branch team leader) took me to the storage room and slapped me in the face over twenty times. The No. 1 and No. 2 Divisions in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp are sweatshops where clothing is made. They force Dafa practitioners to do hard labor. Each one suffered unbearably both mentally and physically. The workshop was filled with a horrific atmosphere. Ma Guimei, a drug addict and criminal inmate, helped the guards. She beat up and verbally abused other inmates at will. Some inmates were afraid of being beaten, so they would pay the guards 500 yuan.
"On January 20, 2009, Masanjia Forced Labor Camp held a party. Guards used the 'transformed' inmates to praise the guards and slander Dafa. I spoke loudly, saying that Falun Dafa is good. You Ran and Wang Shuzheng called me into the office and began slapping my face. They slapped my face for a long time and my teeth became loose. I have now lost all of my lower teeth. I cannot chew things and it is very hard to eat.
"On July 20, 2009, we went to have dinner at the canteen. Several other practitioners and I loudly said 'Falun Dafa is good.' Guards began to beat us and then hung us up, and told us that we should have learned our lesson. Those of us who were persecuted include Zhao Shuyun, Wang Jinfeng, Cui Guohua, Chang Xueling, Wang Guiping, and Lang Dongyue, among others.
"This is only a small insight into how Masanjia Forced Labor Camp persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. I hope that kind people will pay attention to the persecution that is still going on in China. Falun Gong practitioners follow Truth-Compassion-Forbearance and strive to become better people. This is no harm to anyone."
