(Clearwisom.net) Ms. Diao Kaiyun once had many problems. After she began practicing Falun Gong, all of them disappeared. However, once the persecution of Falun Gong began, Ms. Diao was arrested, detained many times and sentenced to a forced labor camp. The police even took the fact that she became healthy by practicing Falun Gong as evidence to justify the sentence.
She once had serious psoriasis and was covered with thick dry skin. Sometimes it was even difficult for her to bend her hands or feet. She later got anemia, heart disease and stomatitis. The pain of these illnesses was pure torture and made her not want to live.
She later started to practice Falun Gong. Miracles happened, and her dry skin gradually fell off, replaced with new and lustrous skin. Other illnesses were also relieved. Several months later, all of her illnesses were cured, even the most serious psoriasis. Diao Kaiyun's gratitude to Falun Gong and Mr. Li Hongzhi could not be expressed in words. Falun Gong gave her a second life!
Being Steadfast in her Belief Despite Tribulations
After the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, officers from Yongxing Police Station went to Ms. Diao's home every two or three days to investigate her and try to force her to give up her belief in Falun Gong. They told her to sign a statement agreeing to give up Falun Gong, but she refused. The police then beat her.
The police took her to Yongxing Police Station, limited her freedom, deprived her of food, and beat and insulted her any time they wanted. It was hot at that time around May or June, but they still used an oven to burn her.
Ms. Diao and several fellow practitioners went to Beijing in 2000 to clarify the truth of Falun Gong. When they arrived she and several hundred other practitioners from Sichuan were separately arrested, loaded into several buses, and taken back to Sichuan Province. On the bus, CCP members ordered the practitioners to insult Master and Dafa and beat them if they refused. The practitioners firmly refused to cooperate.
After they were back in Sichuan Province, Ms. Diao and about one or two hundred practitioners were detained in a hotel in Chengdu. The men and the women were detained in one big room all together and frequently beaten by CCP agents. After several days, Ms. Diao and several practitioners from Shifang were sent back and detained in a brainwashing center. Ms. Diao was secretly sentenced to a forced labor camp based on the "evidence" that she became healthy after practicing Falun Gong.
Her Health Problems Recurred in the Forced Labor Camp, But Went Away Again after She Was Released and Resumed Practicing Falun Gong
Ms. Diao was sentenced to forced labor for two years. Her family members appealed on her behalf and overcame many difficulties, finally getting her sentence reduced to one year. She was detained in Nanmusi Prison. Those in charge beat her frequently and deprived her of food. Sometimes they took Diao Kaiyun, who was just wearing thin clothes, outside and doused her with cold water. They also frequently woke her up in the middle of the night and tortured her all night. Continuous torture gradually caused her health to deteriorate and her health problems all returned, including psoriasis, anemia, heart disease, and stomatitis. She was tortured to the verge of death. Only then did the prison authorities send her to Nanmusi People's Hospital. The hospital said she was dying and her family should be notified. The prison had to send her back to Shifang.
Ms. Diao started to practice Falun Gong again after she returned home. She became well again several months later. Officers from Yongxing Police Station, however, still went to her home every two or three days to investigate and harass her.
