(Clearwisdom.net) On March 22, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) announced a list of people and organizations in China that are being investigated for being involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. There are 7051 organizations and 13,332 individuals on the list, and they come from all levels of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) committees, national security systems, law systems, prisons and forced labor camps. They have been involved in arresting, imprisoning, and torturing Falun Gong practitioners. WOIPFG has been investigating these people and organizations since January 20, 2003.
The purpose of publicizing the list at this time is to help further and deepen investigations of the persecution and to offer assistance in the various lawsuits against those responsible. The details will be updated and reported to governments and legal systems in different countries, non-government organizations, international media, and international courts.
WOIPFG also tries to make it possible for those who are on the list--as well as those who are not but are still involved in the persecution--a chance to make amends. If they realize what they have been doing is wrong, stop their wrongdoing, and join the peaceful resistance to the persecution, they can still have a wonderful future. Since the names on the list have been collected over many years, and many people have already stopped persecuting Falun Gong, WOIPFG is asking those who have stopped their wrongdoing to contact the organization. If they are now against the persecution and apologize to Falun Gong practitioners they have tortured, WOIPFG will make changes to the list.
The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) was founded in January 2003 to track down, investigate, and bring to justice those who have committed these crimes.
