(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Chen Shulan from the Changping District in Beijing was arrested by officers from the Changping District Police Department on September 16, 2002, and was sentenced to seven and a half years. She was held at the Beijing Women's Prison until her release on March 17, 2010, when she was picked up again and taken to the Changping District Brainwashing Center.
What happened to Ms. Chen's family over the past ten years is typical of the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) scoundrel gang. Her younger brother, Mr. Chen Aizhong, died on September 20, 2001, while in Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp, Tangshan City, as a result of severe torture. Ms. Chen's younger sister, Ms. Chen Hongping, had both of her legs broken as a result of severe beatings by CCP officials before she was taken to a forced labor camp. She died as a result of torture in Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp on March 5, 2003. Ms. Chen Shulan's second younger brother, Mr. Chen Zili, was in critical condition when he was detained in Jidong Prison, Fengnan County, Tangshan City, and died on September 5, 2004. Her mother, Ms. Wang Lianrong, died on August 4, 2006, after she was forced to leave home and move from place to place to avoid persecution.

In the autumn of 2007 Ms. Chen Chulan's father, Mr. Chen Yunchuan, who had concealed his identity, and led a wretched life far from home, went to Beijing Women's Prison to visit his daughter, whom he had not seen for years. The guards refused to let him see her, saying that he had no ID card or other identification. The old man wanted to leave some clothes and money for his daughter, but he was not allowed to do that, either. Later the old man died in a car accident, never having had the opportunity to see his daughter before his death.
Ms. Chen and the other five members of her family were all practitioners. They were from Canfangying Village, Xinbao Township, Huaili County, Hebei Province.
After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, this family was a thorn in the side of the CCP, which was controlled by Jiang Zemin. After the death of Ms. Chen's elder brother, Mr. Chen Aizhong, the CCP officials of Hebei Province collaborated with the police in Beijing to try to force Ms. Chen Shulan to sign a death certificate and ordered her not to disclose the news or report it to the Clearwisdom website. They threatened Ms. Chen with imprisonment if she disclosed the news. Ms. Chen Shulan did not cooperate with the evildoers and publicized the news that the CCP was behind the murder of her brother. On September 16, 2002, the CCP officials from Huailai County, Hebei Province, collaborated with the officials from Bejing Changping District and arrested Ms. Chen Shulan. She was transferred to the No. 7 Division of Beijing Police Department and later sentenced to seven and a half years of imprisonment. When her term expired, the prison authorities still refused to release her.
An informed source disclosed that, after Ms. Chen Shulan from Shahe in the Changping District had been jailed for seven and half years, she was re-arrested and taken to the Changping District on March 17, 2010. We call on kindhearted insiders to disclose what they know about Ms. Chen Shulan's case.
