
(Clearwisdom.net) On April 29, 2010, United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) released its 2010 annual report at the National Press Club. The report recommended 13 nations including China to be named as Country of Particular Concerns (CPC). "Because of these systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom, USCIRF recommends in 2010 that China again be designated as a "country of particular concern", or CPC. The State Department has designated China as a CPC since 1999."

(Clearwisdom.net) National Tsing Hua University in northern Taiwan's Hsinchu City celebrated its 54th anniversary of reestablishment in Taiwan on April 25, 2010, which was also the 11th anniversary of the day when approximately 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered peacefully near Zhongnanhai in Beijing, the Chinese leadership compound, to ask the Chinese communist state to stop its harassment of Falun Gong.

(Clearwisdom.net) A group of Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal at the State Council Appeal Office on April 25, 1999. They requested the release of 45 practitioners detained in Tianjin, and asked for a non-discriminatory cultivation environment and the permission to publish Falun Gong books. The Premier of China then held a discussion with representatives of these practitioners and the issue was essentially resolved.
