(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, three Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested by Zhengzhou Zoo Police Station. Two of the practitioners are women and one male, aged between 50 and 60 years old. One female practitioner was arrested by the Zoo Police Station on May 26, 2010.
The order to arrest practitioners was given by Huang Baowei, Director of the Zhengzhou City Public Security Bureau. The National Security Brigade in Zhengzhou City reinforced the order by sending plainclothes police (mostly young men in their 20s without formal employment) to follow practitioners or arrest them at home and take away their property. The practitioners were then escorted to the district police stations in Zhengzhou City. At each police station, practitioners were interrogated. Whether or not they signed the interrogation record, all of them were transferred to the First Detention Center of Zhengzhou or Zhengzhou Baimiao Forced Labor Camp.
The police station is awarded 1000-1500 yuan for each arrested Falun Gong practitioner. After the practitioner is sent to prison or forced labor camp, police stations can earn points. If a police station does not get enough points for its performance, the director of the police station faces potential dismissal or transfer.
The Director of Zhengzhou Zoo Police Station is Ding Haijun, over 40 years old. His driver is responsible for recording different cases. The driver, is his 20's, is not a police officer but participates in arresting Falun Gong practitioners.
