(Clearwisdom.net) CLEVELAND, Ohio--Joseph Patrick Meissner is a local attorney and has practiced in Cleveland for about 45 years. He often works with Asian clients and had some wonderful insights to share after seeing Shen Yun perform on May 29. Mr. Meissner has traveled extensively in Asia.
Commenting on what he learned from watching Shen Yun, Mr. Meissner said, "First of all, it's some amazing display of color ... and of classical Chinese dancing. And it's coupled with wonderful music and poetry, and, of course what is being sung, so that performance is wonderful to watch. You don't need to be of any particular race or creed or any particular country to be able to appreciate the beauty of all that. So that's one level."
Joseph Patrick Meissner has practiced law in Cleveland for about 45 years.
"Then the other level, of course. There are certain values and messages that are contained in every single piece, and tonight was no different from past performances. Tonight, we began with the God Emperor coming down from heaven and bringing all of the people with him, and what they are here to do is to protect all human life, and I think all life. ... And, of course, part of that message is found in the teachings of Buddha. So all of that's contained in this, and it makes for a wonderful evening. It's very educational, and I'm very happy I could be part of it."
He continued with his thoughts about the message of the show: "It's really a lesson that goes through all of the human family, and it's a message that goes through all of our history. The lesson is a really simple one--that we are all part of one family, and, as members of that family we should love each other and not get into either hating each other or warring with each other. ... There's a message which I wish every human being would have the opportunity to just witness and see."
