(Clearwisdom.net) On August 7, 2010, the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts staged two fabulous shows at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, Texas,.
"The Dancing Was Exceptional!"
A full house on Saturday in Austin
Bill Atcenhoffer, a major ATM business owner in Austin, was very impressed by Shen Yun, exclaiming, "I thought the dancing was exceptional! It was very elegant, very flowing, very sweet. I enjoyed it.
"I learned a lot about the persecution happening in China and it was kind of neat that this show could be held here, but couldn't be held back in China. So, I enjoyed it very much."
Besides enjoying the soothing notes of the accompanying orchestral music, Mr. Atcenhoffer noted that "Each dance is telling a story; there was a lot of story-telling."
He said that the performance, "Splitting the Mountain," particularly caught his attention.
Shen Yun "Absolutely a Delight To Watch"
David Johnson, owner of a conglomerate of businesses, described the show as 'fabulous.'
After hearing that Shen Yun was a colorful and fun event, business owner David Johnson, decided to take his wife to the show for their 27th anniversary.
"Fabulous," Mr. Johnson said after seeing the show.
He described the dancers as "very energetic, very, very well coordinated."
"They were amazing! They could do things and dance like I had never really seen before, and it was absolutely a delight to watch," he exclaimed.
Many other aspects of the show were equally impressive for Mr. Johnson, including the live orchestra.
He thought the vocalists were "Top notch," adding, "They're as good as they get. They're very professional, and I really enjoyed them."
Several of the show's messages relating to Chinese culture, spirituality, freedom, and human rights, stuck a chord in Mr. Johnson.
"I think the message has to do with Chinese culture, and to a certain degree, Chinese religion, and it also had a message of freedom. The message of standing up for human rights, and standing up for the freedom of the Chinese people in China−it was very nice to watch," he said.
Overall, Mr. Johnson enjoyed the colors and the pageantry of the dances and the music, saying they were "enlightening and delightful."
He said that the digital backdrop was "Very bright, very colorful!" and that it "added a lot to the performance. The combination of the backdrops and the costumes was phenomenal. Very well presented."
Asked if he would consider seeing the show again, Mr. Johnson said without hesitation, "Oh, absolutely. My only regret is that I didn't bring my mother-in-law. She would have loved it."
When he was told that Shen Yun will be coming back to Texas next year, he cheerfully said, "Well, that will be a must-see for grandma."
