(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in eight provinces. In this report, 17 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Tianjin] Ms. Shen Huafeng Illegally Arrested
Police officers from the Tucheng Police Station in the Hexi District illegally arrested Ms. Shen Huafeng on December 21, 2010. They confiscated her printer and computer. Ms. Shen is currently in the Wushuidao Detention Center in the Hexi District.
2. [Fujin, Heilongjiang Province] Family of Mr. Yuan Yulong Detained
Mr. Yuan Yulong; his son, Mr. Yuan Shoujiang; and his daughter-in-law, Ms. Gong Jinfen from Shangjiejixiang, were arrested on the afternoon of December 21, and detained in Fujin City's Police Bureau. The police officers broke into their home and confiscated a computer and a printer.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Huiying on Trial
Ms. Zhang Huiying was arrested at the end of July 2010 when she was distributing truth clarification CDs near a subway station. She was detained in the Chongwen Detention Center and later transferred to the Changping Detention Center. The Dongcheng Procuratorate will put her on trial.
4. [Panjin, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Shangsi Shocked and Locked in a Solitary Cell
Mr. Li Shangsi from Panjin is detained at the First Prison in the District of Shenyang. Since November 2, Mr. Li has been confined in a solitary cell. The head of the prison's Politics Section, Shi Ying, shocked Mr. Li with an electric baton.

5. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Suqing Arrested
At 8:00 pm on December 20, 2010, police officers broke in the homes of Ms. Wu Suqing and Ms. Chen Ying, who are both in their 50s and live in the Qingyang District of Chengdu. Ms. Chen's home was ransacked and her whereabouts is unknown. The officers arrested Ms. Wu Suqing in her home and she had to leave her elderly mother and two-year-old daughter unattended. Ms. Wu's whereabouts is currently unknown.
6. [Tianjin] Ms. Mo Weiqiu and Mr. Yue Jinnai Arrested
Officers from the Ninghe County 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division, and Lianzhuangxiang Police Station arrested Ms. Mo Weiqiu on the afternoon of December 21, 2010, and detained her in Lianzhuangxiang Police Station.
Officials from the Ninghe County 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and the CCP secretary of Dayu Village ransacked Mr. Yue Jinnai's home, and confiscated his computer, printer, and some personal items. They also videotaped the whole process. Mr. Yue's whereabouts is currently unknown.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Duan Ronggui Harassed
Officers from the residenital committee and Beicang Police Station harassed Ms. Duan Ronggui from the Beichen District several times on December 21. Ms. Duan defeated their attempts to arrest her by refusing to open the door for them.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Zheng Qingyun Persecuted
On November 15, Ms. Zheng Qingyun and her sister were arrested at her sister's home and taken to Huayan Detention Center. The police officers also ransacked Ms. Zheng's home and sentenced her to one year of forced labor.
9. [Chaoyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Shuguo Arrested
Chief of the Police Bureau in the Development District of Qidaoquanzi Li Changxing and others arrested Mr. Tian Shuguo at his home. The next day, Zhang Hua from the police bureau arrested a practitioner and released then the practitioner after extorting 10,000 yuan.

10. [Suning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Sujun and Other Practitioners Harassed
Zhao Zongyao, director of the Suning County 610 Office, and officers from the Chengnong Police Station went to Ms. Yang Sujun's home in Dongzecheng Village, Chengguan Town, on December 7, 2010. They threatened and harassed her. After that, they went to Ms. Yang Lanying and Ms. Li Junyan's homes in Fengzhang Village.

11. [Liaoning Province] The Persecution of Practitioners in Panjin City
In the middle of October 2010, police officers from the Domestic Security Divisions in Panjin and Xinglongtai District monitored, followed and tapped the phone lines of practitioners. The police arrested Mr. Zou Liming, Mr. Zhao Liyan, Ms. Gou Yanhong, Ms. Zou Qing, Ms. Zhang Ping, Ms. Zhang Yuhua and Ms. Sun Yuxia on November 10, 2010. These arrested practitioners were detained for fifteen days.
Mr. Zou Liming was taken to the Benxi Forced Labor Camp on November 25. Many days later, he was released on the condition of seeking medical treatment. Officials from the Xingong Street Police Station refused to process the paper work to take him back. On December 15, Mr. Zhao Liyan was also taken to the Benxi Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Zhao failed the physical examination and thus officials from the camp refused to take him in. Mr. Zhao was sent back home several hours later.
12. [Shehong County, Sichuan Province] Police Ransack Mr. Wang Deyi's Home Again
Mr. Wang Deyi from Taihe Town in Shehong County has been persecuted many times before. At around 10:00 am on December 10, 2010, Chief Xie from the Chengnan Police Station and several police officers ransacked Mr. Wang Deyi's home. They confiscated some truth clarification materials, cassettes, CDs, and a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong.

13. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhai Huadong Arrested
Officers from the Yongqing County Domestic Security Division and the Han Village Police Station arrested Mr. Zhai Huadong, who lives in Lizhuangzi Village, on December 20, 2010.
Shi Huanjin, director of the Yongqing County 610 Office, collaborated with Yu Lianxing, an officer from the Domestic Security Division, to arrest and extort money from practitioners. They also harassed Mr. Zhai Huadong's family many times. Mr. Zhai's wife was under huge mental pressure. She is paralyzed on one side of her body and cannot take care of herself.

14. [Heilongjiang] Practitioners Persecuted in Baoqing County
Two months ago, two practitioners from Baoqing County were arrested while telling people about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. They returned home two days later.
Several days ago, Ms. Ning Tingyan was arrested and detained at the Baoqing County Detention Center.
Two or three days ago, an official from the community committee in Baoqing County went to a practitioner's home to threaten and harass that person.

15. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Pan Yuerong Arrested
Police officer Shi Lei and others from the Yongji Street Police Station in the Fengrun District of Tangshan arrested Ms. Pan Yuerong at her job on the morning of December 20, 2010. She was employed at the First Construction Company of China's 22nd Metallurgy Corporation. Ms. Pan was taken to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp for Women.
16. [Renqiu, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Aihua Arrested
Police officers from Renqiu arrested Ms. Li Aihua for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the public on December 18, 2010. Ms. Li is currently in the Renqiu Detention Center. She worked at the Bohai Oil Professional School.

17. [Fuzhou, Fujian Province] Mr. Li Deyue Sentenced
Officials from the Cangshan District Court in Fuzhou City secretly tried Mr. Li Deyue in the middle of November 2010; his family was not notified. Mr. Li was sentenced to one year of imprisonment and is currently in the Fuzhou City's Second Detention Center.
18. [Xuchang, Henan Province] Ms. Huang Shuangxia and Ms. Wang Xiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Huang Shuangxia and Ms. Wang Xiuzhen were arrested for clarifying the facts near Hutuoxiang in Xuchang County. Police officers ransacked their homes that evening. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

19. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Chaodong Persecuted in Xihu Prison at Benxi
To induce imprisoned practitioners in Xihu Prison to sign a “transformation” statement, prison officials promised to reduce their terms by four months, if they complied. Mr. Wang Chaodong refused to sign, and officials then deprived him of any family visits.

20. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Officers from Wei County 610 Office, the Police Bureau, and Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Xiao Jinwen from Wei County, Ms. Li Jinjun from Daiwang Town, and Mr. Xiao Tang from Majiazhai Village on December 22, 2010. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated some items including Mr. Xiao Tang's computer.

21. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Fenglan Brutally Force-fed
Ms. Wei Fenglan from Laishui County was detained in the Laishui County Detention Center in the winter of 2002. She went on a hunger strike to protest her incarceration and became emaciated. The officers of the detention center ordered prisoners to force feed her with concentrated salt water. The head of the detention center, Yu Deshui, first separated Ms. Wang from all the other inmates in the cell and took her outside. Ms. Wei was handcuffed to a wooden chair. Yu Deshui slapped her and kicked her. Ms. Wei and the chair fell over. The guards picked her up, then grabbed and pinched her jaw on both sides in order to force her mouth open. One person opened her mouth with a pliers and poured half a bowl of concentrated salt water down her throat.
22. [Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xu Zhenfeng Persecuted
Mr. Xu Zhenfeng, 52 years old, is from Zhiye Village in Xiqinxiang. Mr. Xu went to the provincial government to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong after the CCP started the persecution on July 20, 1999. When he returned, officials put him under surveillance. In the evening of November 4, 1999, Liu Yongze and a few others from the police station jumped over the fence and broke into Mr. Xu's home. They ransacked it and fined him 1,500 yuan. Mr. Xu was taken to a detention center on January 18, 2000 and detained for 21 days. More than 1,000 yuan was extorted from him.
Mr. Xu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in April 2000 and was arrested at Tiananmen Square. Wu Zhongge, a cadre from Xiqinxiang, and Na Zhenkuan, the secretary of Zhiye Village, escorted him back from Beijing and took him to a detention center. Later, Mr. Xu was taken to the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp for a three-year term and fined more than 10,000 yuan.

24. [Hunan Province] Ms. Qin Sanfeng, Retired Teacher from Xiangtan University, Died as a Result of the Persecution
Officers from the Xiangtan City's 610 Office threatened and harassed Ms. Qing Sanfeng, a 68-year-old retired teacher from the affiliated school of Xiangtan University, in March 2008. Ms. Qing then had stroke and she lost consciousness. She died on July 8, 2010.
Ms. Qing went to Beijing to appeal for her belief in Falun Gong and was arrested. She was detained in Shijingshan Stadium for a day without any food and was denied the use of a restroom. At around 11:00 p.m. she was transferred to Dazhongsi Police Station in the Haidian District and detained for three days.
On July 20, 2000, Ms. Qing went to Tiananmen Square and was arrested again. She was detained at the Miyun Detention House in Beijing for a week and then for five days in the Xiangtan Liaison Office in Beijing. She was escorted back to Xiangtan, where she was detained for another 15 days. Later, they detained her at an international students building in the university, where she was forced to attend a brainwashing session for ten days. Four people watched her during the day and one person at night.
Ms. Qing was arrested in November 2000, when she distributed truth clarification flyers. She was detained for nearly a month.
In January 2001, Ms. Qing was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. She failed the physical and was taken back to the detention center, where she was detained for another four months. In April 2001, she returned to the university. During the following 18 months, officials of the university only gave her a 200-yuan stipend to live on. Her regular daily activities were under constant surveillance. Ms. Qing's home was ransacked six times, and police officers confiscated many of her Falun Gong books and four cassettes.
