(Clearwisdom.net) Recently many Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested, harassed, and extorted by officers and personnel from the Domestic Security Division, of the Gangu County Police Department of Tianshui, Gansu Province.
Pan Huwa Arrested in Gangu County
Falun Gong practitioner Pan Huwa was arrested in Pan'an Town, Gangu County, Tianshui, Gansu Province on the evening of September 29, 2011. He is now being detained in the Gangu County Detention Center. Mr. Pan Huwa, 49, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Pan'an Town, Gangu County, and makes a living working on a farm and producing vinegar.
On the evening of September 29, 2011, Mr. Pan was preparing for the marriage of his eldest daughter. At around 8:00 p.m., five people from the Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Pan's home. They stepped on the bed with their shoes on, and searched for about two hours. A computer was confiscated, along with a printer, nine copies of the book Zhuan Falun, nine brochures, nine CDs of Falun Gong truth-clarification materials, and several mp3 players. They also kicked Pan's mother, who is about 80, to the ground. Mr. Pan and his wife were taken to the police department to be interrogated. Pan's wife returned home at around 2:00 a.m. on September 30, while Pan is still being held in the Gangu Detention Center.
As early as October 7, 1999, Mr. Pan went to the home of Huang Yuanyi, a fellow practitioner in Xiemadian Village, Shandan Rural, Wushan County. Li Xiaojiang, director of the Shandan Police Station followed him, ransacked Huang's home, and detained eight people, including Pan Huwa, Huang Yuanyi and his wife Xian Junxi, Bai Shuangping, and Wang Yinglian, in a Drug Rehabilitation Center for fifteen days. Each of them was extorted out of at least 500 yuan. Pan was extorted out of over 1,000 yuan.
During the fifteen days in detention, guards in the drug rehabilitation center designated drug addicts to beat Mr. Pan and other practitioners, injuring them both mentally and physically.
Arrest and Harassment of Practitioners Li Juling, Wang Zhilan, Pu Binpeng, and Jiang Zili
At around 9:00 p.m. on the evening of September 29, 2011, villager Li Juling in Dijia Village, Shilipu Rural, Gangu County, was building a house, when a group of people from the Domestic Security Division of the Gangu Police Department and Shilipu Police Station broke into her home, confiscating Falun Gong books, materials, and over 70 yuan. Li Juling was later detained in the Gangu Detention Center for five days.
At around 8:00 p.m. on September 29, 2011, a group of people from the Domestic Security Division of the Gangu County Police Department, Yaozhuang Police Station, and No. 3 Prison in Tianshui, scaled the wall of Wang Zhilan's home in Qijia Village, Xinxing Town, Gangu County, shooting, searching, and confiscating a copy of Zhuan Falun Vol. 2.
A group of people from the Domestic Security Division of the Gangu Police Department and Shilipu Police Station, broke into the home of Pu Binpeng, an elementary school teacher in Baiyun Village, Gangu County at around 8:00 p.m. on September 29, 2011. Mr. Pu had already left home years ago to avoid persecution. They asked Pu's wife about him, and ransacked their home. Finding nothing, they left.
At around 8:00 p.m. on September 29, 2011, a group of officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Gangu Police Department and Daxiangshan Police Station broke into Jiang Zili and his wife Zhang Fengwa's home, and Guo Jincai's home in Daxiangshan, questioning whether they would continue to practice Falun Gong. They grabbed a stack of paper and left.
Falun Gong Practitioner Li Fuzhi Put on Trial
Falun Gong practitioner Li Fuzhi from the machine tool plant, was put on trial in a Gangu Court on October 17, 2011.
At around 9:00 a.m., Li Fuzhi got out of the prisoners' van and walked up the flight of steps, but he was very weak. At around 11:00 a.m., Mr. Li could not even walk. Someone told his family that Li could not get enough to eat in prison. The clothes and quilt sent in to him were stolen, but others still asked his family to send more.
