(Clearwisdom.net) On November 19, 20 and 26, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners from South Australia participated in three Christmas parades in Port Adelaide, Glenelg, and Norwood.
The Falun Gong contingent was led by a large banner, with a waist drum team in yellow-exercise suits following the banner. Practitioners dressed as fairy ladies also performed traditional Chinese fan dance. The performances were warmly welcomed by the spectators. Practitioners passed out many truth-clarifying materials. Many people wanted to learn more details about Falun Gong.
Catherine, a local citizen in Norwood, was sad to hear of the persecution. She said, “I am sad, but feel lucky to see you in Australia. It is great that I can learn something about Chinese culture here.”
Many Chinese people were proud to see Falun Gong, while some were surprised to see them. When she saw the police cars guiding the parade, Ms. Zhao, a citizen in Port Adelaide, said to her friends, “In China the police officers harass and persecute Falun Gong, but here they protect Falun Gong.”
