(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in two cities or counties in two provinces. In this report, two practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least one practitioner was illegally arrested.

1. [Chenzhou, Hunan Province] Circumstances of Mr. Xiao Sixian and His Wife Ms. Wu Shengying
Mr. Xiao Sixian and his wife Ms. Wu Shengying from Chenzhou, Hunan Province were arrested in July 2009 in Guizhou. Ms. Wu was forced to have an abortion just a month before her due date, before she was sentenced to six years in prison. She has been held in the Guizhou Province No.1 Women's Prison. Ms. Wu is from Hong Kong and has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and demand an unconditional release. She is extremely weak and has fainted several times.
Mr. Xiao Sixian taught at Shiqiao High School in Jiahe County, Chenzhou City. He was arrested many times and is currently held in the Dujun Prison in Guizhou Province. Mr. Xiao and Ms. Wu were arrested for distributing information about Falun Gong. They were taken to Xishui County, Guizhou Province where they were forbidden to meet with their families. Xishui County Court tried Mr. Xiao and sentenced him to six and a half years in prison. Mr. Xiao's daughter Xiao Xixi can no longer go to school because no one paid her tuition fees. Mr. Xiao's elderly parents are left at home, uncared for.
2. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Tian Xiaoying Arrested
Ms. Tian Xiaoying from Zhengwan, Wangmingkou, Xiangcheng City was arrested at home on the morning of February 6, 2011. Officers from the Xiangcheng Police Department and from the Wangmingkou Police Station made the arrest.
