When Chen arrived at the Hilton Hotel in Hsinchu at midnight on February 18, he was greeted by Falun Gong practitioners’ banners.

in September 2009. Mr. Lei was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and detained in Dalian City Prison. His wife, Zhao Xiaochun, his father Zhang Deguo, mother Li Jinqiu, and mother-in-law He Yuxiang were all persecuted in forced labor camps. They have now been released.
