(Clearwisdom.net) After suddenly hearing that practitioner A had passed away, in addition to shock, I felt deep regret that I hadn’t achieved what Master required, “The next person's things are your things.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference”)
This year, the practitioners in my city were severely persecuted in the form of sickness karma by the old forces. I would like to share my experiences and insights about how practitioners in tribulations do away with the old forces’ arrangements.
I truly began to practice Falun Dafa in 2006. In 2007, I saw my father (a practitioner) experience a tribulation in the form of sickness karma. He was in bed, experiencing the symptoms of esophagus cancer, which caused him to vomit whatever he ate. At that time, I had recently obtained the Fa and had clear visions in my Celestial Eye. Every time I sent forth righteous thoughts, I saw a large number of evil beings harming my father.
During that period, practitioners in my local area were studying Master’s “Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference.” Master said,
“‘I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them’--then they won't dare to do that. So it can all be resolved. When you can really do that, not just saying it but putting it into action, Master will definitely stand up for you. What's more, there are lots of Fa guardians around Master, there are lots of Buddhas, Daos, and Gods, and there are even greater beings, and they will all participate, because forced persecution that's not acknowledged is a crime, and the cosmos's old laws don't allow it either--irrational persecution absolutely is not allowed, and the old forces don't dare to do it if that is the situation. So you should do things as righteously as you can.”
I wrote down this paragraph of Master’s Fa on paper, so that my father could read it if he couldn’t recite all of it. What impressed me the most was one occasion when we sent forth righteous thoughts. My mother and I held up our palms to help my father eliminate the evil, and my father was reading Master’s Fa. On this human side, my father’s voice was very small. However, as long as my father kept reading the Fa, it resounded across the Three Realms. I saw from my Celestial Eye that the rotten demons at different levels who participated in persecuting my father’s body, and the evil beings at higher levels who led those rotten demons, stopped immediately. My father’s voice was heard everywhere. If I were to describe it in human words, it was echoing in the sky. The old forces at much higher levels looked very ghastly and sad, as if they had been defeated.
Because I had only been practicing Falun Dafa for less than a year, I didn’t truly help my father based on the Fa, and my father still had attachments that he hadn’t eliminated. As a result, the old forces took away his physical body. But from this lesson, I witnessed the power of Dafa and enlightened that when practitioners are in tribulations, as long as we firmly believe in Master and the Fa, Master will help us. Since then, I have kept one thought in my mind, “My father has been taken away by the old forces’ persecution. I cannot let the old forces persecute other fellow practitioners like that.”
Practitioner B had the symptoms of sickness karma one month after my father passed away. His family sent him to the hospital. A practitioner notified us about it, and many practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts for him. Although I had never met practitioner B, when I sent forth righteous thoughts, I saw him lying in a hospital bed. Above him were several rotten demons stabbing his body with spears. I then put a shield above his body. When I sent forth righteous thoughts for him another time, I saw his Main Spirit swallowed by a large python. I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts to kill the python (but didn’t eliminate it because of my limited level), and I pulled him out of the python. Seeing that his body was bloody, I cleansed his body with a supernormal ability. Then practitioner B’s Main Spirit returned to his niwan palace. Two days later, a practitioner told me that practitioner B had been cremated by his family. I felt very shocked upon hearing this. It turned out that after practitioner B was sent to the hospital, the doctors told his family that he had died. His family then put him into frozen storage to preserve his body. A few days later, his daughter had a dream, in which practitioner B told her, “I haven’t died yet, but you already put me into the freezing coffin.” We must learn from this lesson in the future. At the same time, however, if we all, as one body, sincerely send forth righteous thoughts for practitioners, we can change the old forces’ arrangements.
On one occasion I was persecuted by the old forces. Because I was busy setting up a materials production site and studied the Fa less, the old forces took advantage of this loophole of mine. One evening, I felt very cold from head to toe after returning home from a practitioner’s house. The following day, I had symptoms of a high fever. I was in bed and had a severe headache. Unexpectedly, two days later, my gums swelled up, and the inside of my mouth, my lips, and tongue were covered in blisters. Later, the gums around the roots of my lower right teeth swelled up so much that the bump almost touched my right ear. My right temple also ached. Every day when I woke up, my mouth was full of pus and blood. I could neither speak nor eat. The only thing I could do every day was to drink water. Eventually, I couldn’t even drink water. Regardless of how hot or cold the water was, I would have severe pain as soon as the water came into my mouth. I didn’t eat food for days, causing me to lose the strength to walk.
One day I suddenly thought, “I can’t eat anything, and my father vomited whatever he ate. What is the difference between the two? Aren’t they the same? The old forces let our physical bodies be damaged first so as to take our bodies away later; isn’t this the case? I cannot acknowledge any arrangements by the old forces!” I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts, saying, “I'm Master Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements, nor do I acknowledge them. I only walk on the path that Master arranged for me. If I signed any sort of pact with the old forces back in history, I deny it completely. It is all invalid. Everything on my cultivation path was arranged by Master; it has nothing to do with the old forces.”
As soon as I sent out this firm thought, I saw a very long hand extended toward me. There was a piece of paper in the hand. I didn’t know the words on the paper, but I realized that it might be some sort of pact I signed with the old forces. Then I burned it with fire. When I sent forth righteous thoughts at another time, as soon as I crossed my legs, I saw the old forces throwing the piece of paper in my face. It seemed that they had become flustered and exasperated after I denied their arrangements the last time. It was as if they were saying, “You signed a pact with us. Now you have betrayed us.”
My heart remained unaffected. As long as it was not arranged by Master, I neither wanted it nor acknowledged it, and I burned it at once. Afterwards, there were papers thrown onto my head from different levels and spaces. I burned all of them down.
Through sending forth righteous thoughts to deny the old forces’ arrangements several times, my mouth recovered two days later. I was also able to eat. Actually, after I began my cultivation practice, I clearly knew that my whole life belongs only to Master. It is Master and Dafa that gave me everything. It has nothing to do with other beings or the old forces. From this, it can be clearly seen that the thing that the old forces fear most is our firm belief, from the bottom of our hearts, in Master and the Fa.
From my experiences above, I enlightened to the following on how to do away with the old forces’ arrangements, whether they are in the form of sickness karma or other forms.
1. Above all is to study the Fa well. The Fa is the basis for everything. (I suggest practitioners who haven’t set up a Fa-study group try their best to do so.) While being persecuted, many practitioners considered it a test arranged by Master. Actually whether or not it was arranged by Master, we may find the answer after thinking about it from the Fa. Master asked us to do well with the three things. Everything that stops us from doing the three things is not arranged by Master. If a practitioner is rendered unable to walk or to have to be in bed, isn’t that a form of persecution? Can we say this was Master’s arrangement? Will Master let us become unable to save sentient beings during this period? Isn’t it the same as the persecution of practitioners who were arrested and imprisoned? Master said,
“Except for newer students, from July 20 of 1999 on, Master hasn't created any personal cultivation tests for you, and that's because overall your personal cultivation has changed in every respect so that it's in the direction of saving sentient beings and validating Dafa.” (“Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference”
2. Believe in Master and the Fa. Every cell of our being needs to be filled with unshakeable belief.
3. Practitioners need to cooperate with each other as one body and stand righteously when we send forth righteous thoughts for other practitioners in tribulations. I enlightened that the process of sending forth righteous thoughts for other practitioners is in fact the process of denying the old forces’ arrangements and the process of assisting Master with Fa rectification. First of all, the old forces are trying to undermine Master’s Fa rectification, and their arrangements are not acknowledged by Master. In addition, the old forces persecuted practitioners’ physical bodies, attempting to render practitioners unable to fulfill the vows we made to Master and to stop us from getting to the end of the Fa-rectification period. If the old forces take away practitioners’ physical bodies, the sentient beings in the related cosmic bodies will be destroyed, as well. Therefore, when we send forth righteous thoughts to help fellow practitioners, we should do away with the old forces’ arrangements, rather than discuss practitioners’ attachments in private, which actually play the role of furthering the old forces’ persecution of practitioners.
Besides all of the above, we need to truly help fellow practitioners from the Fa, rather than from our human mind or sentimentality.
I hope that we practitioners will learn from our experiences, so that we can truly rescue fellow practitioners from the old forces’ persecution in the future, to fulfill our mission of saving sentient beings, and to witness the coming glorious moment which will happen only once in history.
This is my current understanding. Please take the Fa as the teacher and kindly point out whatever is improper. Heshi.
